Just piling on to add my voice to the record - this was a truly terrible and ill conceived idea. Community is often the basis that drives people to succeed, and celebrating little wins and victories can enable people to do so much more. They've gotten rid of an incredibly positive community, and it's very frustrating.

Always happy to add to the crew - feel free to add me!

Oh, to get to this point. A big motivator for me has been my kids, and not ever wanting to have to do the walk of shame. When we went to Dutch Wonderland last summer I actually asked the ride operator about the bar, and she told me it doesn't click, so I felt OK to go on the ride. With kids only 5 and 2.5, I have more time…

That second point practically jumped off the page and punched me in the face with how much it resonated. The number of times in the past that I've cut, over-exercised, gone full type A on my weight loss only to burn out in weeks or months numbers right up there with how many stars are in the sky. Determined is about…

Officially onto the tightest belt notch. I've been flirting with it for a while, but today is the second full day in the tightest notch. Sidenote - is it wrong that sometimes I wonder if my belt just finally stretched enough for me to get into that notch?

Weight loss has helped, but what made a real difference for me was getting a boot for night time use (I used the night splint by vive). After 4 months of pain, a week in the boot had me mostly pain free, and a month made me feel almost completely cured.

Two more NSV this week for me. The pants that I just recently bought that were a bit snug at time of purchase were able to be taken off without unbuttoning them. And my belt made finally made it to the final notch this morning - will be a while before that's comfortable, but made it!

I owned the hotel breakfast buffet bar this morning - after opening the chafing dish labeled "pork sausage" and looking at it, I closed it without taking any, walked over to the fruit, and made myself a nice parfait.

Ordered my standard size jeans... only to have to return them for the next size down. Also paid to have them hemmed since I feel better, and want to look nicer.
-
Ordered some new pants in what I thought would be the right size online - had to send them back for the next size down!

Always looking for more active friends - I'm on daily and post updates, so feel free to add!
-
Feel free to add me too, I'm pretty active on here as well.

Today my 4yr old came straight to the garage to find daddy at 6:30am when he woke up, because he knew I'd be lifting and not lounging in bed!

Had the kiddos this Saturday by myself, and instead of turning on the TV we went for a hike, then I threw them in the bike trailer and rode for an hour - and then mowed the lawn.

Donuts and Entenmanns coffee cake. It's a gateway for me. At some point I hope it won't be a gateway, but since I'm only halfway through my journey I'd rather not risk it.

While my wife isn't unsupportive, she isn't exactly supportive. Since she does most of the cooking, she'll make the menu for the week and I have veto power over anything that I just can't eat - but if I veto, I have to come up with a replacement meal. I usually cook a half dozen chicken breasts and a Costco sized steak…

Love new friends. Add me - 47 of my 101 to lose gone.

Feel free to add me. 46 pounds in, 55 to go, and love to give encouragement!

Vacation in T-minus 9 days, and currently at 46 pounds down - goal is to hit 50 by vacay!
-
If it makes you feel better, I've dropped 46 pounds (55 to go) but can't tell the difference. I've apparently lost 6 inches off my waist (according to my pants) and gone down a shirt size, but I still see the same me in the mirror.
-
Still on my journey (46 pounds down) but I have made weight loss my #1 priority. I think about it as soon as I wake up, and step on the scale. I think about it (and talk about it) all the time. If my family goes to do something, my first thought is how do I pack/plan/strategize my meal choices. As soon as my kids are in…

looks good - never tried it that way, will have to give it a whirl.

First thing in the morning, right before brushing my teeth. Keeps me honest throughout the day, and I know exactly where I stand as far as my weekly mini-goals. It has also allowed me to realize that I lose weight Monday-Friday, gain some if it back, and it takes me till Tuesday to return to my past Friday weight. I now…

Been going strong for a couple months without many buddies - could definitely use some support! Down 35 so far... 65 to go!

When I do that, I'm usually hungry by 2ish, which then makes me not as hungry for dinner, and then hungry again right before bed. I've found a small breakfast but medium lunch work best for me. The medium lunch is key to helping me not snack overly much.

Hi all. I've been lurking for a few weeks, finally decided to join in the posting (because my wife, my boss, and my coworkers may kill me if I talk about diet, exercise, and weight loss any more!). I was a bit disappointed to have gained a pound this week despite tracking everything and racking up some major exercise, so…
