Isn't that the truth!! I've had a bad couple of weeks with allowing myself to sneak in things that are working against my weight loss goals. It is so gratifying in the moment, and then I'm mad at myself on weigh-in day!!

Has anyone tried CSAs for meat?
-
@Mussronkey - I wish I could drink it black! That would be so much easier!

@heatherzousel - molasses is a great suggestion!

@jenovia10- I do a lot of make-ahead freezer meals. That way I can save a few bucks by buying meat and some of the produce in bulk. Also makes it easy for busy weeks! I also cook on the weekends to prepare for the week. My husband and I both work full time, and I'm able to make sure we have home-cooked meals all week. :)

I add 400 by using the exercise tab. I found that 70 min. of moderate walking is equal to about that many calories, so I just track that every day to add the calories. :) I REALLY wish this site had a setting for nursing moms!

You are not alone at all!!! I gained about 30 pounds before being diagnosed (only figured it out b/c I was trying to get pregnant. I had a baby about 4 months ago and now have thyroid weight AND baby weight to loose! Don't lose hope - you'll get back to a healthy weight if you keep working at it!!

I add about 400 calories each day (isn't it weird that this site doesn't have a calorie option for nursing moms??) through the exercise tab, and it hasn't impacted my milk. I also drink a ton of water!

Today is a new day!

Good luck Cari - you can do it!! It is hard!! I don't think that I eat emotionally in the sense that I do it because I'm stressed or sad. I do it because I like food and food that is bad for me makes me feel happy! However, I don't feel happy at the end of the day when I eat badly. That's the part that sucks.

No - it's not! I have 3 adults in the house, and grocery budget is about $700. We make almost everything from scratch, pack our lunches every day, and rarely eat out.

I feel the same about Stevia and Splenda. However, my mother actually grows stevia plants and creates her own sweetener that isn't made in a factory. That might be one option! Yeah, it adds up. My sugar comes from turbinado and my morning shake, which has a lot of fruit. I guess I can't feel too bad if all my sugar for the…

When I first started, the sticker-shock really got to me! I only buy organic for the "Dirty Dozen" when it comes to produce...that makes things easier.

The way I control the bill is by limiting our meat consumption! We buy organic/free-range meat, so we 1) Don't eat it every meal, and 2) When we do eat meat, it's a small part of a meal, not the main part. I also found that I save a lot by pre-making morning shakes (thank you, Pinterest!). Rather than buying fresh produce…
