  • Most baby powder brands are made with cornstarch. I vote for body glide and if there is an issue or suspicion of insulin resistance, speak with your doctor. Yet since you haven't really given specific details, I can only assume that it may be more of a weight issue. Most times when you lose a great deal a weight the area…
  • I walk an average of 25k steps daily ( I typically do high stepper challenges ) and I have been nervous about eating my fitbit calories because they're so high, however I est most of them, if not all at times and have been losing. Slowly but losing. On my rest days, which I tend to average about 12K steps I burn around…
  • They have to be one of the most overrated fast food places ever, especially when referring to "healthy" options. Furthermore, I am from Philly so I would never go for subway when I can get a hoagie just about anywhere. Wawa hoagie are pretty decent for 5 bucks.
  • Check the fitbit group. But yes you have to make sure it is following steps which would be on the left panel on the app. Not sure where to find it on the website.
  • Prior to fitbit I would eat most of my exercise calories back, usually leaving about 100-200 left most days. However, with my fitbit adjustments I tend to leave a lot more as I just don't feel hungry by bedtime. There are times when it's over 500 calories left. I am not sure how accurate but hey. Also since I do get lazy…
  • I second the tumeric and ginger. I cook with it and make tea. There is a great smootbie/yogurt drink that has tumeric in it. Good luck and sorry to hear about your condition. Oh and you can find more information or the food and recipes on pinterest.
  • Make sure you have mfp track fitbit steps. If using the app go to left panel and tap steps. This should help with your issue because there is a bug in mfp side..several threads regarding issue
  • I have a fat/big butt as well and I put the old Navy high waisted compression leggings and they are awesome and really affordable.
  • Thank you for sharing this!
  • I second amazon.com and the usually go for pretty affordable prices.
  • Oh and vitamix has wonderful customer service
  • Vitamix! I absolutely love it and I use it for everything from, flour, ice cream, nut butters, baby food, soup, smoothies, and more. I purchased the refurbished one with a 7 year warranty. Check their website or livingsocial for deals.
  • You can enable the step tracker and that should fix the problem. That was also mentioned in the fitbit group forum.
  • Congratulations!
  • It doesn't matter regarding weightloss but as others mentioned it may slow you down or cause stomach issues. I personally cannot have a full stomach while working out for both reasons. May I suggest meal prep on a Sunday like freezer meals that way your hubby can microwave it or use a cockpit while you hit the gym, that…
  • I wake up at 4:30 am 5-6 days a week before my hubby and kids are up. I also go on Sundays around 10 am. I look forward to the gym every single time. I do count it as my me time as I can zone out and not have to worry about anything. Sundays my husband and I either take turns going to the gym or go together if my mother…
  • My weight is pretty evenly distributed
  • If you can afford a gym membership go very early in the morning before everyone wakes. I am usually at the gym no later than 5:30. It is my me time to zone out and sweat. By the time I get home everyone is jist waking and I get the kids breakfast together. I go to bed no later than 10 or so to ensure I have some energy. If…
  • I am also a mom of boy/girl twin toddlers!.. Lol For fitness I make sure that I work out very early mornings and weekends. I have a Fitbit and track my steps by and when I cannot take a walk outside or go to the gym I do "laps" around the house, do YouTube fitness videos, and body weight routines like burpees, push ups,…
  • Yes, same here! It has slowed dramatically since increasing my heavy weight lifting. However, I am much leaner which I am happy about. I agree with the other pp and take measurements. Try on previously smaller clothes(I do this rather than take actual measurements ) and take pictures of your progress
  • Normally my goal is 1700 because I had it set to lightly active to lose 1 pound a week. Since getting the Fitbit I have changed it to sedentary so my calorie budget is now 1410. There is no way, even on a rest day would I eat that low...lol I typically eat between 1800-2200 (sometimes more) with exercise and I am losing…
  • I think there is a glitch. I pretty much eat the same things and usually it gives me a prediction of losing weight yet today it say I will.gain about 15 lbs. I was under my calorie goal as I didn't eat all my exercise or breastfeeding calories back.
  • Yea mostly. Sometimes I forget my socks.
  • I'm a huge chocolate lover do i make an overnight oatmeal with almond milk, raw cocoa powder, 2 Splenda, mini chocolate chips, sliced half banana. I do heat mine in the morning for about a minute and it is delicious much like a dessert.
  • I would also like to mention that I think my charger hr us fairly accurate regarding my gym exercises. For example, I tend to burn around 450 calories on the elipitical (machine reported) and ha e ignored the mfp account which is usually around 90 or so more. The charger hr typically gives me 360-390 or so for the same…
  • I am nervous about the same thing so I changed my mfp to sedentary instead of lightly active since Fitbit accounts for my entire day. Mfp dropped my calories down by 200 so I will see if this makes a difference.
  • I love the duck face(see profile)...lmao
  • 101 cookbooks by Heidi Swanson is a great website. She takes excellent pictures and the food is tasty. I mostly make her desserts though.
  • I agree with most of the comments/suggestions here. Miss you have to do this for yourself and if and when he is ready he will follow suit. You cannot blame his eating or lack of motivation as a reason to get derailed from your weightloss journey. When I got tired of my postpartum weight gain, I did it for myself. Sure, I…
  • I find the Fitbit an excellent way to become more active and remaining so especially if you have the competitive bone...lol I have the charger hr and I work out a lot so it stays semi wet(sweat) most of the day and it's fine. You can place it a few fingers from your wrist bone and it will still be accurate, otherwise get a…
