  • Thank you all for your advice. It's helpful to have new things to try, just to change things around at bit. I got my blood test results, and it looks like my medication needs adjusting, so maybe that'll make a difference.
  • Wordyroo I just had blood taken yesterday. It's interesting that you say that, because I was wondering if I was get hyper (for reasons unrelated to eating). I get the results in a couple of days. Thank you everyone for your words of wisdom and support. X
  • Thank you burnwithbarn I shall read up on it. Is there a way of increasing leptin? Maybe a holiday in the sun! I do definitely feel more hungry when it's cold... And it's really cold here in the uk at the moment!
  • Oh! Yes, that's a good point. I wonder if it's that. I'm a bit lazy about getting a variety of food, I regularly eat the same things. I'll try and vary it, and get some supplements too. I have hypothyroidism, which doesn't help, but I managed to lose weight ok with it, so I should be able to maintain too.
  • Thank you all for your help. It's not munchies... It's proper hunger. I think that I maybe need to drop my carbs a bit, and eat even more protein. Carbs in the morning seems to make me even more hungry, so I shall try some high protein breakfast.
  • Yes, thank you. I found an update, and it's much better now! I was getting so frustrated trying to log my dinner... It was taking longer to log than to eat! X
  • Oh fab, thanks. I'll give it a go.
  • I'm glad that it's normal! I didn't notice it at all when I was bigger. Thanks for the reassurance!
  • Thanks all! Obviously normal for some people! I don't have any pain, but it's weird.... I don't like it. It's very noticeable when I'm lying in bed on my back.
  • I have two sisters. My older sister and myself have to watch our weight, our younger sister is slim and has always been. However, she is much more interested in food, she loves cooking. I hate it! I have noticed that she buys good food, and saviours it. She gets full up quite quickly, and stops eating. I stuff my face with…
  • I'm a jeweller. I only work with precious metals, but it is possible to solder small balls of metal into the inside of rings to resize them. This works particularly well for people with large knuckles or arthritic hands. X
  • When I first started to lose it took ages for me to drop a size. I was wearing my clothes far too tight! Once I'd dropped one size i dropped a new size every 12 lbs or so and it happened really fast.
  • Great! Thank you. I shall do that. I'm going to try to use my extra calories for healthy options and not cake!!
  • Wow! I didn't realise wisdom teeth removal could be so brutal. I had mine out under local anaesthetic, and went out for a run the next day. Tbh they were so painful before they were removed it was a massive relief to be rid of them!
  • Lots of great advice! Thank you so much. Out of interest, how much does hypothyroidism lower your bmr? I'm sure it must vary... But is it lots or just a little?
  • Yeah, that's true. Maybe I'll try introducing more cardio. Thank you! Makes me hungry though
  • It seems that you posted as a cry for help mixed with some pride for your dedication. The replies are not what you wanted/expected maybe, but you are slowly destroying yourself... Not making yourself stronger. Please get some help.
  • If you're tall a 10/12 will look slimmer than on a short person. For example a 28 inch waist on a 5'10 woman is proportionally smaller than on a 5'0 woman. I'm 5'7 bmi 20.4 size UK 10. I am still carrying quite a lot of body fat though. If my body mass were more lean muscle I would be a smaller clothing size.
  • Thank you. I think the answer is body fat lowering rather than losing more weight. I'm still rather squidgy! I am struggling to find the time (I know, I know... If I want it enough I'll find the time!), it takes a lot less time out of the day to lose weight than build muscle!! Maybe I'll just pick up both the kiddies and…
  • Fantastic! Thank you all. I don't have any excuses now... I shall get me some gorgeous legs. Is it best to eat at maintenance? Slight deficit? I'm pretty much at goal, 3lbs away.
  • I guess it's true that there's no way to know for sure! My skin isn't too bad. It's crepey on my tummy when lit from above, but that's from pregnancy mostly. I've still got cellulite too, on my legs and bottom, but I think, unless I build some serious muscle, that it's here to stay! Thank you for your input.
  • Yes sorry, eat under while logging for the next few months. I'm very nervous about not logging, so I'm tempted to continue
