I'm back again after two crazy years. This week I managed to claw my way back into the healthy BMI range. I've got another 9kg/20lb lose and a lot of strength to gain to get where I was 2 years ago.

I'm new to lifting. I had a friend write a program for me and show me how to do the exercises. Form first; start with a lighter weight while getting use to the exercises. I felt really self conscious starting at the gym, still do a bit. But no one really cares how much you're lifting or how you go about it, as long as…

Me too. I eat when I'm hungry and stop when I've had enough and maintain a weight of 57-58kg (162cm). My doctor, blood tests, and energy level all say I'm healthy. If I want a cookie or loaded wedges or whatever I'll eat it. But I'm still eating wholefoods daily too. I just think I should eat less junk and more wholefoods…

2019 is a year of new beginnings for me (10 year marriage ended last year). Goals: - Improve my eating. I'm an intuitive eater but half of it is junk - Improve my sleeping. Aiming to go to sleep and wake up at a similar time each day, and get 7+ hours sleep each night (instead of 3-5 like I currently do). - Be more…

Forgot to update. All test results came back fine except for a slightly overactive thyroid. My doctor is talking with a thyroid specialist to decide the best way to treat it. My doctor is happy with my weight and how I went about getting here. I've lost 22kg and am 1kg away from my goal weight. I've joined the gym and got…

Can anyone move this to the fitness section? I have no idea why it ended up here.
-
I'm lucky because my gym buddy is a trainer. I've started going to a weekly bootcamp/circuit class. No other classes fit my work schedule. My reasons for joining the gym are to get fitter, stronger, and I wasn't making much progress with home workouts.

Wow! You've all done so well 💪👏 Unfortunately in my before photos I'm in underwear 😓

My last mini goal was to get under 60kg. I guess I had some kind of mental barrier stopping me before. I've achieved that one finally 😁 Current mini goals are a flatter belly and to lose the 2nd butt so I look better in my swimsuit this summer. Part of the problem is all the loose skin hanging down.

People often comment on my weight, either to me or to my family. My brother in law decided to have some fun and hinted it was "due to cancer, but we're not talking about it." And would make comments like "it was pretty much touch and go for a while." And people believed him. I can see the funny side in the fun he was…

I have a friend who is 100kg 153cm who frequently claims it's pure muscle. I have a loved one over 120kg 163cm who doesn't want to get too skinny so never goes below 115kg. All the adults in my family (including in laws) are obese by any measure. But, at 60kg 163cm 29% body fat, I'm supposedly too skinny to be healthy and…

Nah, small town + no life = no new friends. So I do it for myself, and for my kids even though they don't know it :)

I'm waiting for the charge 3 because its waterproof so I'm less likely to kill it lol

Fell off the wagon for a bit but I'm now 20kg down from my heaviest non-pregnant weight and on the tightest notch on my belt. I'm going to the doctor soon for a checkup and full blood tests to prove to my mum that I'm healthy.

Half my post dissappeared :/ 2. I'd never intentionally gain that much weight. 3. I was venting, have a woe-is-me pity party rant, which is something I can't do in real life because it's bound to upset someone. Sometime I run low on confidence and determination.

Wow. I wasn't expecting so many responses. I'll keep them in mind in the future, especially the "suck it up buttercup" themed ones☺. I guess I should clear some things up. 1. I'm not ditching my friends over one tiny aspect. I've ditched friends in the past but that was to do with drugs and gangs. A few years ago I had…

Apparently you can lose 10kg (22lb) per month simply by drinking icy water that has had a sliced up apple and a cinnamon quill soaked in it overnight. It flushes parasites and excess fat from your body. Or so an (obess, delusional, optimistic) acquaintance of mine tells her clients. She also believes coconut oil will cure…

But then I also read the actor doesn't have a mole so?
-
I read that they deliberately made it asymmetrical playing off a mole the actor naturally has. They made his eyes different shades of blue and thickened one eyelid. For me the creep-factor was the veins they airbrush painted on his face and the lack of eyebrows. But symmetrical faces do look weird.

If I'm craving it I indulge in it but try to stay within my allotted calories for the day. Exercise-wise I take a couple of painkillers if needed and go for a walk. Often walking reduces any carvings. Try to eat something healthy and filling before you eat what you're craving to help prevent all out binging. Or try to…

My husband also eats big and unhealthily. I was raised with dad gets more because he works. So as an adult I told myself I work as hard as my husband so I *deserve* to eat the same as him. Evenings were the worst; the tv would go on and out would come the junkfood. I'd down 250g chocolate, a big bag of crisps, and 1 litre…

Learn from it and move on. It's what you do everyday that matters not what you do one day

Hi fellow kiwis. I'm new to MFP, a mum of three and married 6 years. My ultimate weight goal is 17kg less than my current weight but more importantly I want to be fit and healthy. I struggle with grazing on junkfood all evening, fitting exercise around family life, and making healthy choices. I'm tying to solve the first…

Screw accuracy. I don't want to underestimate my energy intake or over estimate my energy output so I choose whatever food option has the highest amount of energy and when I exercise I record a lower intensity than I felt I actually did or I'll take 5-10 minutes off my workout time. I'm losing weight so far so I'll keep…

Hey everyone, I'm new to MFP so feel free to add me
