I agree with what all the positive people here have said. I started crossfit last Decmeber, 3 months after having weight loss surgery. The changes in my body shape and strength have been amazing!! Joining a crossfit box has been the best decision I have ever made in regards to fitness. A good box will have reputable coaches that will make sure you lift correctly, unlike people at your local gym. You cannot beat the community of support while you're working out. The change in my body has been amazing, and fast!!!

I, too, have asthma since I was a kid and running is the only thing that really bothers it. I don't love to run, but I've gotten to the point where I can run up to 2.25 miles at a time doing other things like crossfit, dance and drum corps. I am slower than a lot of walkers but I don't stop moving. Good luck!!

I started with an on ramp class in December and go 2x a week now. I love it! I have seen a ton of changes in my body shape and other comment all the time about the changes. I'm not "ripped" yet, but that's because I have a long way to go.
