  • I'd like to join this group if you'll have me. I'm working on some weight-loss and am looking into starting Keto. I've just started a little bit of it the last week or 2, but looking to go more full fledged. Definitely on the low carb no sugar train right now. Nice to meet everyone :)
  • I am usually quite good at spelling, but that is ow I really don't care if I misspelled!
  • I just got mine last weekend, but I don't have mine set that way. At the same time, though, I don't pay attention to adding back more calories than I actually burn in intentional exercise, regardless of what it's trying to tell MFP.
  • I have two NS Mac & Cheese with Beef up for grabs if anyone wants them -- pay the postage, and they are yours. I can't seem to get past the blue cheese . . .
  • My goal is to repeat the goals of last week to make sure that I have the balance I need. Then I can modify the exercise accordingly if I want and will compensate accordingly if this works.
  • I also just keep a container of sauted mushrooms and onions in the fridge, and add them to many of my NS lunches and dinners.
  • Well, peeps, it seems to be working! Lost about 3 1/2 lbs this week! I'm within 1/2 lb of where I was when I started exercising and going the wrong direction. After this long of only eating 1200 cals, I was struggling trying to eat 1500 on exercise days (let me qualify that with 'AND keeping my fat grams in place' -- if I…
  • I started Monday, so I figure Sunday should be my checkin --- I'm giving it a full 7 days. Not expecting to see a miracle, but a little progress in the right direction would be good!!!! Today was my 3rd day of exercise this week (working at home today, so got it in in the morning, which I love) and then plan to hit up both…
  • thanks --- Makes me feel a little bad thinking that someone had gotten really lazy . . .
  • Not only have I not been losing any weight for the last 3 weeks since I've been exercising, but actually put a couple lbs back on. Kinda of a bummer because I was doing so well with my exercise (6 days a week, was up to 45 mins a session now, blah blah blah). Soooo, counselor told me to back off on the time and frequency…
  • My goals this week --- (1) exercise no more than 30 min, and not more than 5 times this week, (2) eat 1 SC before exercise, and 1 PF right after exercise, (3) modify my calorie intake to 1500 on the days I exercise, (4) to see if I can find this stupid calorie/exercise balance that I have messed myself up with!!!!
  • I'm on the ss stuff also. I have just bought a sampler pack of frozen lunch and desserts a la carte to try some.
  • I find it interesting that the message boards are still referenced throughout the NS website though . . .
  • LOL! Sounds like me and my weigh in process . . .
  • LOL! My kinda cake :)
  • Good to know, SillyRabbit :)
  • yes, glad to hear it's not just me. I haven't posted my weight for about 2 weeks now because it sure hasn't gone down! I'm hoping that *Maybe* by this Sunday I have a few ounces to show for it at least now that I'm back in the neighborhood of where I was a couple of weeks ago!! Regardless, I d think I like eating dinner…
  • If it's any consolation, kindof ground to a halt and actually gained a pound in the last couple of weeks (which ticked me off because I've been doing really well at exercise the past 2 weeks) I'm switching my stuff around this week also, and this morning I was almost back to where I was so I am hopeful that dinner for…
  • I got an email today saying that the tracking tools themselves on NS are finally shutting down also, and NuMi will be the only way to track with NS now. I never really got into NuMi or NS much, because it announced they were shutting down the forums about the same time I joined, so I just never got started. I was already…
  • Welcome Pam! Nice to have you join us :)
  • If you can't wait until your next order, see if you can find the Starkist ready-to-eat original Tuna Salad in the 3 oz pouch. I got some today, and it's pretty tasty AND the specs seem to pretty much add up to the NS version (which I'll admit I've never had yet).
  • Not recipes, but if you are interested in any prepackaged items, the StarKist Original Tuna Salad in the 3 oz pouch for 100 calories seems to be REALLLLLLLY close to the NS Tuna Salad. I also found some Special K Low Fat Granola that is slightly higher in sodium, but gram for gram, pretty darn close to NS Granola as well.
  • Yep everyone is different. I did (and still do) sort everything out so that all of dinners are together, my lunches, my breaksfast, etc so I don't have to riffle through everything just to find my breakfast. I will also tell you that the first month, I made a spreadsheet and mapped out what I planned to do for each meal,…
  • Hi Surrealcheral -- I heard you about the slow weight loss. I'm on about week 6 now I think and I'm still only down about 7-8 pounds, but I have lost about 7 inches so far, so I'm happy with that!! Plus, I had a week of vacation in there that I was rather misbehaved during, so I'm just getting back on track this week. Nice…
  • This week I tried the frozen Beef, cheese and Bean Burrito --- I thought it was pretty darn good! At noon I finally got around to the Chicken Noodle Soup, and tonight I had the meatballs in Marinara sauce and I was happy with those as well. A good week for NS food :)
  • Hi Marie -- Patty here. I'm only a few weeks ahead of you and I did the fast five. It started a little rough for me (not from a fatigue perspective though), and I really had to drink my water and eat my 4 servings minimum of veggies to keep from feeling like I was starving (I never ate so many carrots in my life!!). Now,…
  • I've only used it in shakes and in other NS foods as a supplement - I've never tried to eat it as a stand alone.
  • I'm going to guess that the wet tea bag is a 'freebie extra'
  • Popcorn is always a good one (for me). I also generally use a lot of mine up with Laughing Cow cheese, whether it's to spread on low cal/low carb crackers for an afternoon carb snack, or to melt in with chicken and veggies to make a nice sauce for lunch.
  • Ok, my scientific kitchen has new results. I made another batch (had to use up the rest of the blueberries anyway), so this time I upped the buttermilk to 1 cup instead of 3/4, changed the AP flour to 3/4 cup, added 3/4 cup coconut flour, and 2 scoops (approx 1/4 cup) of EAS Complete Protein Powder - vanilla. They came out…
