If you're rolling your shoulders forward then try using a backpack instead of a hand bag and keep the straps snug. It more gets you into the habit of keeping your shoulders back that exercises them. If you pack a little weight in there then it'll give you some exercise too but be careful not to overload yourself. Also wear…

I just hit my goal weight and I'm freezing all the time now too. But on the plus side, it is easier to deal with that the hot flashes I used to get. Silver linings and that.

I'm transitioning into vegetarian but I'm not quite there yet. I don't like tofu and it's making it a bit difficult for me to keep my meals diverse. But feel free to add me if you like. :)

The other day a customer pointed out to me that an ice cream we sell at my store has its portion size stated by a drawing of a spoon. I had to do some quick maths for her based on the actual values they gave and the size of the tub because, quite rightly, she couldn't work with the drawing of a spoon!

Been after these myself for my partner. I don't know of any but I know some pharmacies, clinics and GPs will weigh people on their scales as part of the weight management service. It varies from region to region so you'd need to ask around your area.

Good on ya! The first week or so will be wobbly then you'll get into the swing of it. Have patience and take it one day at a time. Good luck!
-
Thank you! I will stop telling people about this now as it sounds like they'd have to be pretty special to be experiencing it but I'm glad it is technically a thing.

Let me rephrase: Say you are losing weight because you are working to gaining muscle - could you in theory, if only once, gain as much weight in muscle as you lost from your excess fat?
-
The muscle burns the fat that fulfills both of those things but you didn't actually answer my question.
-
You're welcome. :) Now go kick some *kitten*!
-
In that case, switch up your routine, do a different exercise and alter your foods. Make it burn!
-
What macros do you track? I'm not sure which ones I should be other than kcal and salt (my mum has high blood pressure so I have to keep an eye).
-
Give it another week or two and see what happens first, you've probably just hit a threshold and you'll break it soon.
-
Don't cut them out, they have unique nutrients. Moderate how much you eat and sub in vegetables instead if you can.
-
I'm saying this a lot today... are you gaining muscle weight at the same rate you're losing fat weight?
-
You could be in the transitional phase where muscle gain balances your fat loss, you may even find you gain weight but if you're happy with muscle then embrace it!
-
Right, first of all you're not graduating based on what you look like, you have a strong mind and that's what got you there, concentrate on that. Second of all, 50 days is more than enough time to make changes if you really feel you need to. MFP will carry you through reducing your calories and track your exercise. You got…

It is hard to handle too much information at once. Pick one thing to look into and work on that then pick something else and work on it and so on. Take your time, it's better to do it right than fast. Don't be afraid to try a new food, you never have to eat it again if you hate it!
-
Exactly what I said before joining this thing. Day by day is best, the first couple of days will be wobbly but you get into the swing of it surprisingly quickly. Good luck!
-
Also, it's a shame you can't do 'likes' on this thing.
-
Thanks guys. I was touched and tickled by your words. And I won't lie, if I get to the point where I don't need a bra... I won't miss it! :)
-
Me too! I've always had the will to do better but I didn't have the information that I needed to succeed. Let's do this!

There will be a fuzzy period where you're losing fat but gaining muscle so it balances out for a while, then you should see an increase in weight based on muscle. I haven't trained a day in my life so I can't tell you when, I'm just one of those people that has random pieces of knowledge. :) If it was me, I'd read Arnold…

I'm dealing with long term weight too, you'll have bad days but it isn't the end of the world. Take a day at a time and pace yourself. My problem was not exercising enough so I looked through the exercise database and decided what I could do and what they were worth then tried to slot sessions into my schedule. I also gave…

Been here a week or so also. I've been overweight most of my life and I'm sick of feeling terrible all the time so I'm really trying to shift it. Had a tough day today because I went to an Indian buffet with my family. Did my best to limit the damage but I'm 350 kcal over and I can't do anymore exercise!
