Superb advice ^^.

I get exactly what you are talking about. I've been at this, seriously, for over a year and I do let myself splurge a little when I go out. I do miss the days when I could eat with reckless abandon, but like others have said... The bloating, discomfort, upset tummy, it's just not worth it anymore. But miss it ~ Oh I sure…

If I repeat anything that's already been said, I do apologize, I haven't read all the responses... Is there anyway that you can set yourself up for these cravings? If you are feeling that urge to eat something sweet, why not go for a pudding cup or some solid chocolate? A flavored tea with some sugar. Those 100 calorie…

That is wonderful loss so far. You're welcome to add me as well!!

Anytime I started up at a new gym, I was given a tour of the place and the equipment. After that I spent about a week working out on equipment I knew and was comfortable with, not many, but the treadmill, bike, and the free weights and in doing that I was able to watch how the machines were used. The last gym I went to…

lol I agree completely with this. I haven't lost a pound since I've been focusing on lifting heavier weights, but my body measurements are going down fast.
-
That sure is an excellent feeling. Keep it up!!!

New friends always appreciated... add me if you'd like. :)

LOL... I get that, my problem is that people add me, go strong for a few weeks or maybe a month and then disappear. Thankfully there are a few who log everyday and provide oodles of inspiration and motivation.

WOW!!! Amazing change.... You look absolutely stunning. Very inspirational for those of us working to get there.

OMG what a change and great advice. I'm just starting to show a little bit of progress with a LONG way to go but I'll keep chipping away at it no matter what. Big High Five to you!!!

I've been back for 2 and a half months and it's going well... I LOVE your post and I agree with everything you've said. Every choice we make in every one of those moments are what makes a difference, either for the good or the bad. This time it's all about being reasonable, trying to change in a way that enhances my life…

*High Five* Look at what you've accomplished?? That's fantastic!!!

I have the same problem. Since you have no trouble controlling what you are doing during the day, try utilizing that control and plan for the evening. If you know you're going to have a snack at night, eat a little less at your meal times or skip your snacks between meals and enjoy them later.

I had my gallbladder removed about 5 years ago. The first year was the worst for me, I found I just could not go out to eat, I had to eat at home where I knew where the bathroom was. Now most foods don't bother me, but I will get pain after eating highly processed foods for some reason, and eating too much fat too often…

"Quit it" It seems to work for those minor incidents but if it's bordering on insanity I have to remind myself how awful I felt when I started this and that seems to help.

I'm with you on the slow rate of loss too. I do fluctuate between .5 and 1# every so often depending on how motivated I am. Losing it slowly like this feels comfortable and because of Chronic Illness my doctor has told me to lose all my weight, without putting any stress on my body. Wish I would have done it this way years…

I always used to think I could stop drinking coffee anytime I wanted and it wouldn't bother me at all. However, in the winter I had to do a 2 day stress test and was not allowed to drink coffee for those 2 days and I have to say, I noticed it.

Oh yeah and while working out I think of all the things I should have said.

I was having a last minute get together with friends, and when I have people over I like to make sure that they have snacks. I was out longer than expected and running late and didn't have time to make anything so I decided to stop at the store and just get some tostito's and salsa to serve. While in the chip isle this…

YES... At times I do feel hungry and like I'm running on empty. I've been trying to plan my meals so I'm eating a little more frequently. I've been making sure to have washed, sliced and ready to go fruits available for those times when my mood makes it that much harder to resist. One thing I've also noticed is that on…

spinach and feta salad and I also crave smoked salmon.

Excellent!!!! That's a lot of hard work and determination. You look amazing.

Don't go to the gym with a cold. You will spread your virus and I can't imagine anyone there working out to become and stay healthy, will appreciate that very much. Just put on your jammies, have a nice cup of hot tea and rest.

This is fantastic!!! I would also agree that it should be made available to all new comers. When I started here 45 days ago, I started with the hope that I would never again have to diet or follow some gimmicky notion or fear some fat conspiracy theory. Because I have a chronic illness, I have to lose my weight without…

I would try drinking a nice tall cold glass of water with ice, sometimes chewing on ice helps with the crunch factor or a nice flavored tea as was posted above. If that doesn't work, walk to a deli or store that makes hamburgers & or fried chicken, buy the smallest piece of chicken or a burger and walk back home before you…
