  • Hi I'm back after a long absence. I lost 75 pounds years back, regained it and have since lost it again. I am determined not to make the same mistake this time. This time I'm just never going to stop weighing in everyday. I just went through my closet yesterday and got rid of all my plus size clothes so there is no going…
  • I gain around 5 pounds surrounding my period. But about three days after...wooosh it falls off. Don't worry about the fluctuations they are going to happen. Just keep a close eye on how much you're eating.
  • I weigh myself daily but only log each time I reach a new low.
  • I've actually had a real easy time maintaining over the last couple of months and I'm very comfortable with how much I'm eating. Maybe I'll take up some exercise program to burn some extra calories and lose a little bit that way. Even if I only lose a couple of pounds a month by Xmas time I'd be down by another 20 pounds.…
  • Yes, this is pretty much where I'm at right now. Although I have absolutely NO worry about regaining the weight back because I never did anything drastic to lose the weight in the first place. Plus I still weigh myself everyday so there is no risk that it could secretly come back. I'm thinking maybe what TiffkittyW said…
  • I've lost 76 pounds over the last 10 months and pretty much any advise on how to lose weight at this point is pretty annoying. I know exactly how to lose weight....eat less. And if I tell someone that they then proceed to say "Why don't you try the low carb diet"? No offense... but why would I want to?
  • Most people are creatures of habit. By that I mean we typically have the same thing for breakfast everyday, we'll order the same thing at McDonald's every time we go, or we eat one of the same 5 dinners in our typical routine. If you have a "routine" than simply cut it down. I eat the same things I did before but just in…
  • If you have over 100 pounds to lose than 2 pounds per week is doable. If you only have the 50 pounds to lose than .5 to 1 pound per week is more likely.
  • I'm 46 and I have lost 80 pounds pretty easily. You'll lose it when you're ready.
  • It's tool and its being sued by tools.
  • You guys can all do this. It's not that hard. Sometimes such a huge number seems daunting....but it does go down pretty quickly. Back in April...9 months ago I started out with 125 pounds to lose. Now here I am already down 77 pounds. I've got less that 50 pounds to go and let me tell you time flies. It really does. The…
  • If you drink a lot of sodas then simply drop them from your diet and chances are you will lose weight...or at least stop gaining. But you would have to replace it with a 0 calorie drink option.
  • I'm 46 and I lost about 75 pounds over the last 9 months. It is possible but I had 125 pounds to lose. If you also have a lot to lose then its definately doable. But as you get below the 200 pound mark it sloooows down considerably. I don't really exercise but I do use a fitbit to get me off my butt as much as possible. My…
  • I drink the Premiere protein shakes from Costco. 160 calories and 30 grams of protein. Hard to beat that.
  • Any program that is totally different from your normal routine and something that you only do for a limited time is a recipe for failure.
  • Uhhh....there's no such thing as "free food".
  • I also like the feeling of full.....but not stuffed. I'm finally good about stopping at full. But that doesn't mean you can't have a big meal occasionally. As long as your normal routine is on target an occasional meal where you go over is not gonna kill you.
  • I only have a protein shake in the morning for breakfast because I'm not hungry when I get up and it's low calorie, provides a lot of protein and it holds me over until lunch. I don't think liquid drinks were ever really meant to fill you up. If you're feeling constantly hungry you need to play around with food…
  • My plan was to eat what ever I wanted and just stop when I was full. I lost a pound each week from Thanksgiving until now.
  • Back in April I set a goal to lose a 100 pounds in a year as well. So far I'm down 76 pounds. So I've got four more months to lose 24 pounds. Will I be able to pull it off?....maybe but even if I come up 5 to 10 pounds shy...no biggie. Do you think I'm really gonna be upset that I only lost 90 pounds? Start your journey…
  • Bone-in Ribeye from Mortons. Yummmmm!!!!
  • It's a national conspiracy by the US government to fatten up Americans.
  • Shortly after starting my weight loss journey I injured my back and ended stuck in bed for almost three weeks. I still lost 15 pounds that first month. Weight loss is simply about how much you are eating.
  • There are many different programs out there that can help you to lose weight. Someone here on MFP could say this is the best way because it works for them and it's free. But someone else may find counting calories and weighing everything they eat too demanding. Others may need the local meetings and a support system that…
  • Whom ever said that is a jerk and you should ignore them. That's almost 8 pounds a month which is excellent. If you find your current pace comfortable and aren't starving yourself to do it then just keep doing what you're doing. The best pace for you is simply the pace that you feel like you could do forever. Never let…
  • I've lost an Irish setter but I'd like to lose an average fashion model. That way I could say I've lost a whole other person.
  • I think it's time you moved to Southern California. :)
  • I was 125 pounds in my mid 20's. I was 180 pounds in my mid 30's and I was 250 pounds in my 40's. My eating habits were obviously never good and that is why I slowly gained weight over the years. We need to figure out a sustainable lifestyle for eating and exercise that we know that we can do forever. And that is…
  • Problems: - I forgot my lunch this morning, now I have to eat junkfood from the cafeteria that I can't count... Ah well, day is ruined, might as well stuff myself! I have a couple of set places that I can go to in my local area so that I can get a meal that is 500 calories or less. I NEVER consider a day a ruined if I go…
  • I plan on logging forever. Just hoping for the best has never worked for me in the past. Once I lose this weight there is no way in @#*& I'm ever going to gain it back. Honestly I've been doing this for 8 months now and its not a big deal. It only takes about 3 minutes a day. That is a small price to pay for "skinny" in my…
