The way MFP is designed, you are eating at a deficit already - so exercising creates a larger one. So... say I eat 1500 calories, which includes a 250 calorie deficit. I workout, burn another 250, so my deficit is 500 - too large for me at this stage of weight loss... so I eat back 250 (give or take), and I'm still back at…

My maintenance calories are 1445. I need to be SUPER vigilant about my intake and 50 calories off here and there DOES add up. I have tried not weighing my food on numerous occasions and have always gained weight. Unless I workout a crap ton, I can't eat a lot of food, and every calorie needs to be accounted for. For me, it…

Thanks guys. I wouldn't trade this lifestyle for anything. :)
-
Because that's how the world measures stuff.
-
5 years maintenance here. I track, otherwise I gain. Every time.

Yikes, 5,000 steps a day is sedentary? If I get 3,000 it's a good day for me. Guess I'll keep it at sedentary then.

When I'm dead. I'm not going to stop logging my food.
-
Yes. Always.

I don't eat things that you would typically accompany with milk, and when I do I substitute it for almond milk (I like the taste of almond milk over cow milk, and I'm also lactose intolerant).
-
Yes, but I don't use MFP to measure them since MFP is batshit crazy.

Days... Try 3 weeks, and THEN if nothing...

To be healthy. Overweight or not, nothing beats good health - the two aren't mutually exclusive - I had reasonably good health markers when I was overweight - they just weren't perfect as they are now at a lower weight. Me. I take full responsibility of my actions and acknowledge that *all* of my missteps are my own fault.
-
Both of them have calories in them so of course I log them.

Slow and steady wins the race. My first time out I couldn't even do 1/4 of a mile. Now I can hit the pavement and do about 15 miles before I really feel like death. My longest was 21 miles and that's only because I hit a wall and had to throw in the towel. But it took a solid year of practice to get there.

It's quite a bit harder for us disabled folks, but it's far from impossible. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10195005/wheelchair-user-maintaining-75-lbs-lost-for-4-years/p1

Grazing... and self control.

True, on workout days I can eat anywhere from 200-300 extra calories. But darn it takes a lot to earn it. LOL.

I'm 5'0" and 120 lbs and I maintain at approx. 1650 calories. I really wish I could eat more, but alas...

Depends on the day. Shortest lifting session is around 25 minutes, longest is 37. I can't do long sessions; I burn out and end up quitting after a few months. Luckily the program I follow is quick.

Mine is over 700 calories. Two boiled eggs. 1 cup Greek yogurt. 1/2 serving whole grain granola. 1/2 serving raw white honey. 1 tablespoon all natural almond butter. 1 banana.

Yup my face is definitely clearer after adopting a healthier diet. When ever I eat sugar it explodes though! Gotta stay away from the stuff.

Thank you all =) Yup, and I'm training for my first marathon this May. We'll see how that goes... O_o I have not gone more than 21 miles consecutively, so 26.2 doesn't seem like too much of a stretch... hopefully.

Recently started lifting heavy stuff to lean out... Pretty awesome progress in a short period of time.
