  • It turned out I am gluten intolerant, so instead of bread, I have a banana for breakfast. My nutritionist totally happy with it.
  • Finding out I am gluten intolerant made all the difference for me. As soon as I stopped eating gluten I lost 5 pounds in 2 days, which was part of water gained due to my Thyroid medicine being too low. Nutritionist suggested I started with AIP and I've been on that for 13 days (plus 3 gluten free before I had a chance to…
  • Season with salt and pepper, add a slice of lemon, a teaspoon of capers and thyme sprig, wrap in parchment paper and bake at 375F for about 10 to 15 min. Our absolutely favorite preparation of white fish. Another way is cutting it in chunks and tossing in cioppino (serve with zucchini pasta) or jambalaya.
  • 1 hour lap swimming and 60 minutes Barbell strength as a group exercise. :)
  • Did 4000 steps at work, in 4inch high heels in the course of 4 hours. :) Do I get extra credit for stilettos? In the evening I ran on treadmill 30 min 6 miles an hour. In tennis shoes, if you're wondering. :)
  • I weigh my meats before everything goes in the pot. Since I trim all the fat and don't add additional oils, I measure my my portion os 4os. of meat and then vegetables and stock in cups. I'm OK with eyeballing the veggies, have great success with weight loss.
  • I make ratatouille for several days. Then fat and starch free fat free cream soups, then Italian caponata. I really don't like just steamed veggies, they are soooo boring to eat. I have been for ever grilling veggies like zucchinis, eggplant, peppers, then toss them in home made fat free vinaigrette dressing. Yum!
  • For breakfast I eat poached eggs with truffle flavored salt. Each egg I put on half of toasted english muffin. Omletes with cheese and oil/butter just isn't reasonable for most of the people.
  • Go see a good fitness trainer and a nutritionist. If you are lifting weights you likely are a member at some kind of a gym.

  • My MD suggested I go see a nutritionist. She wrote down my daily food intake, which was less than 1000 calories. She suggested I open MFP account (which I opened several years before), change my caloric intake to 1500, eat good breakfast which I skipped before, have 2 snacks, lunch and dinner. I have to watch fat, protein…
  • First go check your thyroid and then go see a nutritionist. Most insurance companies cover several visits, the number depends if you are obese (you get more visits) or if you just want a consultation. My story: Unbeknownst to me I have been eating too little pretty much whole life and now when I'm almost my mid-fifties a…
