I never lost anything when I counted calories. I tried the low carb, high fat diet (ketogenic diet) and have lost almost 35 lbs

I do 10% carbs, 20% protein, 70% fat. Have lost almost 35lbs. I also do intermittent fasting most days
-
Keto macros are usually 5% carbs 20% protein 70% fats.

It definitely does help you lose weight on its own. That's how so many people have lost so much weight. Your body is burning fat for fuel instead of carbs, resulting in fat loss.

On facebook.... good groups that I am a part of are: 90 day low carb challenge Keto adaptation Low carb traveller (Lynn terry) There are some other good groups and pages. Very informative and helpful with recipes, before and after stories, etc. Good luck!

I've counted calories so many times and it has never worked for me! I don't technically count my calories right now (even though I'm USUALLY under 1200 still) but I've started counting carbs instead. Keto/low carb, high fat, is literally the only diet I've been able to stick to for more than a week or 2.

I do not have 100lbs to lose, but I do have 60-70lbs to get rid of. I am 30, and its not as easy as it was 10 years ago to lose. Would love an accountability partner! Add me if you like

I do lchf/keto and my macros are set at 10% carbs, 20% protein, and 70% fat. Carbs DO matter, especially if you're eating too much fat and carbs together. It should be one or the other, and find a diet that works for your body. Calorie counting doesn't work for everyone.

I just started it AGAIN yesterday

Mine are set at 10% carbs 20% protein 70% fat. Steadily losing weight

What is your goal? Low carb? Low fat?

No, I'm not better off counting calories. I've done that for years and it has done nothing for me I have lost 12 pounds in 2 weeks doing only carb fat and protein counting. It is not about the calories even though that's what's burnt into your brain. What works for one person isn't going to work for the other and calorie…

You're not supposed to shoot for 20 net carbs a day. The point is to stay under it. The macros are 5% carbs 20% protein and 75% fat.

When doing keto, you do not count calories. You obviously don't want to go crazy and eat thousands of calories, but by counting carbs, fat, and protein, it works itself out for the most part. I've been a yoyo dieter for most of my life, and this way of eating has been the easiest to stic k to by far, and works rather…

Hi! I have a ton of weight to lose. I am 5'3. Started out at almost 222. Current weight is 206. This is the first time I've ever been over 200 lbs in my life, even through 2 pregnancies. Part of it I blame on the depo, and I was eating horribly! I feel as though I've been eating better, but still not how I should at all. I…

I have about the same amount to lose by my wedding next may. But the sooner the better.
