about to start counting my Macros on Monday, looking for any advice from those who do this thanks.

    Macros should be viewed as a range... minimum to maximum, with ideal being somewhere in between and determined by your own personal goals and preferences.

    Generally speaking, start with something like this -

    Fat: .2-.5g per lb of body weight
    Carbs: 1.5-3g per lb of body weight
    Protein: .75-1.5g per lb of lean body mass

    So for me at 170ish lbs, it works out something like this:

    Where I set my goals within those ranges depends on my training goals and my ability to sustain that type of diet over time.

    I really like that Thank you. I want to weigh around 175 when I'm done down from the 290's currently 185.

    I have been doing the .4 per lb fat and believed that was my minimum and a .8 on the protein, carbs I just stay under 100 grams most days. NOT today..lol.. calzone but so good..
