Just take it a little at a time, i take it 1 stone at a time and get super excited when i get into the next stone range. To me this is not a diet its learning to eat right and understanding what your body needs x

I shall add you Rosie, my son lives in Cardiff at present x

As above, you dont need to exercise to lose weight.
-
From what ive read on here, no, as the calories are over estimated anyway. I would recommend eating back 50% of them. My calories are set at 2lbs per week but i lose more then that most weeks, im eating and feeling well so im not worried about it.

Exercise of course is good for you but plays a small role in weight loss (in my opinion) you can still lose weight with watching what you eat, good luck x

Good luck x

I think it is worked out on your weight and your level of daily activity in general. You can choose how much weight you want to lose, 1.5 or 2lb a week and the calories allocated will aid weight loss

Thanks guys, i can really tell the difference when i work out if ive had a shake before or not. Might just be in my head but its working for me anyway.
-
Ive lost 30lbs now and my calorie intake has only dropped after the first 10lbs its not dropped since but i still seem to be losing at the same rate.
-
I enjoy carrot sticks with some light Philadelphia, kelloggs cereal bars, quavers/french fries etc are all low in calories. I would suggest small and often and avoid white bread, pasta and rice x
-
I eat mostly what i did before i started this journey but smaller portions and stop snacking inbetween meals

Ive dropped my exercise down to 3 times a week, i swim for a good hour and around 76 lengths so its a pretty intense workout for me. That seems to have helped the tiredness i was feeling. Thanks for the replies x
-
I found that when i exercised every day i felt more tired, so i have dropped it down to 3 times a week, ive also added a protein/energy shake on the days that i do exercise. I would say have more rest days or drop the amount of time you exercise x
-
Exercising as you lose should help, tho it all depends on how long you have been overweight for and how over weight.
-
Definitely start weighing your food, you will be surprised by the difference in what you think is a decent portion to what you really should have portion wise x
-
Ive been here for nearly 70 days now, lost 25lbs so far and actually enjoying seeing the changes in my body and getting fitter. Im close to Chester, feel free to add me x
-
I think you look great, you feel better if you use some toning up exercises x

Good luck x

Feel free to add me Karina, and congrats on your new baby x

I found that when i was working out most days i felt exhausted so have cut down to 3 times a week. I also have a high protein shake before i work out and drink plenty of water. your body is telling you its not happy x

Ive gained this week, nearly 2lbs and no idea why im just hoping to stick at it and hope to see something shift in a few days. It is frustrating when you have eaten within your target and exercised and still gain, tho im hoping it maybe a little muscle rather then extra tub x

Me...like im ready for an afternoon nap...but then that could be my age aswell!
-
I had a 'sod it' day yesterday, but back on track today and off for a swim later. Its not the end of the world think it does you good every now and again
-
add lemon or lime juice. I drink juice as i cant always just drink plain water, but i love fizzy water and find that much easier to consume
-
Depends how hungry i am, i try not to eat them all back as i dont know how accurate the MFP app is but i will use some and im steadily losing weight
-
I suffer with stress and anxiety and have found im able to cope better if i feel better about me. I try to exercise each day as that helps to clear my head. I try and leave myself enough calories at the end of each day to have a chocie treat at night.
