Yep, 8 pounds. I started worrying the “19” in Covid-19 was for how much weight I was going to gain. So I put a stop to it yesterday. Starting again, again.

When I ski and am out of shape, the skiing is fine. The falling is fine. But trying to get back up is always a problem! If you have better muscles, I think you will be fine. Go. Have fun. It is amazing exercise. Especially after a glass of wine at the lunch break.

I don't really buy into any of the woo woo health benefits of keto. But after yo yoing and gaining and losing the same ten pounds off and on for years, I am giving it a try. Just to shake things up and trying something different. To see if maybe it can help. So far I'm doing ok. The loss rate is no more than when I'm doing…

If your fat is in the 70's, then you are dead on target.

I'm on my third month. It's slow going for me because I'm a lazy *kitten* dieter. But, I like it. I'm finding for me right now, having a structure works best. Today was weigh in day though and I had a burger and fries for lunch. Wanted it SO bad. Meh. Wasn't that great. Go figure. I feel like it is easier to stick to my…

I would just make what you want and he can join in or not.

I love no longer feeling forced to eat breakfast. I generally don’t eat between 8pm and 12 noon. It helps me to keep my allotted calories in that window and am almost never hungry.

So much for that salad I just ate...

You can also follow Brett on Insta. He posts some great info and tips. Hip thrusts are really amazing.

Bret Contreras is the man.

Bret Contreras is totally the go-to guy here. He has book and work out plan, Strong Curves, a website and is super fun to follow on insta. He shares a ton of great advice, including how some folks really struggle with glute activation. For sure look into hip thrusts.

6 = 2 sweet potato, 2 lettuce, one sugar snap peas, one cucumber.

I'm assuming the term healthy is being used to mean "lower calorie." I go with three crunchy tacos from Taco Bell (510 give or take) or a double cheesburger and small fry from McDonalds (670ish). These two options have helped me get through some rough spots.

Grande skinny vanilla, grande nonfat latte, Americano are my go-tos.

I’ve never heard the Sierras called the California Alps before lol. Do I live under a rock? I’ll make a mental note to stay off the passes that day. Those are some darn skinny roads you guys are riding and you don’t need any more cars!!
-
I love thin mints. But for me, a serving is one sleeve so I think I will need to take a pass this year.

Almonds (pronounced ammund) and pecans. Though I have a ton of walnuts in the freezer from a friend’s tree. I like walnuts but one nut is like 40,000 calories.

Three pounds a week is really aggressive. I think you are going to be very hangry which makes this plan unsustainable. You want to be at 1200 net.

While vanity sizing is a thing, these aren't apples to apples comparisons. Even numbers and odd numbers for sizing indicate missy vs juniors. They are cut differently, one for a woman’s body and one for a teen. No matter if your weight stays the same, it's more likely than not that your body will change shape as you age…

I try. I went to the gym three times last week in Maui, and got about 15,000 steps every day. I haven't done either since my return. Sigh.

Nothing, and it is glorious!

My daughter has celiac and her fave gf pasta is Barilla. But she's also a poor college student! You can eat pasta and diet. I started making it fresh. So good!!

I look at an airplane and I gain two pounds. It takes at least a week for it to go back down. Then I travel again. Lather, rinse. I'm going to Maui for work for a week and I intend to enjoy myself, but if I come back 5 pounds heavier I will have a FIT! I really need to find a way to manage work travel better. I mean, I…

This always happened to me as well. Or, just my right pinky toe would go numb. Can I just cut that little sucker off? Anywho, lately I've realized it doesn't happen. I leave my shoes looser around the toe box and just tighten them up top. I also got a different style of shoe, a more low profile style. Finally, I've also…

My goal is .5 pound a week. I finally took the quality advice on this site and realized I can't be successful at 1200 cals a day. I reset my goal to .5 pound and upped my cals to 1450. Everytime I try to "boost my progress" and drop back to 1200, oy. Now, I have also increased my exercise level and secretly hope I lose .75…
