I try the same thing! Limiting my impulse buying by using baskets or a smaller cart! Although it didn't work so well this time, I used the really small basket cart, and the poor kid at the checkout line had a hard time fitting all my bag in it! I laughed nervously and said "I always end up buying more than expected to!" :D

You'll have to tell me how those hershey kisses are! They sound horrible so I'm afraid to spend the money on them, that and if I do like them I'll end up eating the whole bag! :D

Same, well kinda. I don't have kids, but I've been bugging my boyfriend for years to let us buy a chest freezer! I'm always running out of room in ours.

Thats awesome! Unfortunately, where I live we only have fresh markets in the warmer weather, so if I want "fresh" produce I'm stuck buying at the grocery store. :/ The only thing you can really get here this time of year is squashes, apples, and root vegetables. I'd love to travel to Holland someday! <3

There are a bunch of uses for them! I personally really just like them by themselves. Cut away the skin, cut in half, scoop away the seeds, and eat! They are super sweet! When we do happen to get them here up north my mom buys a ton of them to make prickly pear lemonade. Which is delicious! I've heard of making jelly from…

Thats a really good idea "planning/logging" I try to plan out my meals in advance but it doesn't always work. I think though if I calculated how much I was spending and what was going to waste it might curb my impulses. The funny thing is that this food is all for me personally, my boyfriend a hard headed carnivore. Trying…

Haha, I know that feeling! When I go to the store though I limit myself to only the outer isles and organic section. Which for me helps the impulse buying of junk food, not so much impulse buying of produce though.

Unfortunately, I don't have kids :S Which sucks because when I buy something I know I should have like ice cream or chocolate, I have to own up to it. I guess the good thing though is that the persimmon and papaya aren't ripe yet so it'll give me time to eat the rest of it.

The sad part is I went grocery shopping after dinner! So I was full, I went in to get a few things to make zuchinni bread and walked out with $100 in food D:

Thank you! That is what I was thinking. Great information!

I'm not personally interested in going vegetarian or vegan. It's just something that I find interesting, thank you for your input though!

I'm 5'2" I weigh 164lbs, trying to get down to 110/120. I take in 1200-1300 cal. a day depending if I exercise. I only eat back half of the calories I burn exercising. I eat alot of protein, fruit and veg. When I started I would eat, for example a bagel with light cream cheese and be starving by 11:00. Now I eat egg,…

I'm 5'2" and MFP set me at 1200 cal., once I found a balance in what I was eating I stopped feeling hungry. I think it's realistic if you are my size, but otherwise no.
