Nice to meet you. I started this group in 2015 because, there was none for the Catskills. Unfortunately, you are the first one to respond.

That sounds very active.

What do you do?

I agree with Malibu. Wearing your fitbit in the treadmill would be the easiest fox for your problem. If for some reason you can't wear it, I think logging in fitbit would probably be best. Mine usually will not start adding calories until I get to at least 8000 steps, so if you had a day where you did not reach that even…

I'm a paramedic.

I also use allrecipes. Good site with decent search options and lists nutritional values for the recipes.

Probably try to get up the some of the Catskill for towers (Upstate New York), I haven't been to yet.
-
I'm off at 7 also. Fortunately if nothing happens I'm allowed to sleep at work.

Boredom/binge eating. Logging what I eat helps. Also if I can get out of the house and away from the refrigerator. Lack of access means lack of temptation. Packing my meals when I leave keeps me from buying too much when I am out.

You could try a USB connectable battery pack for when the power runs out or a solar charger.

The pain is from lactic acid built up during your workout. As your muscles and circulation become more efficient that will go away. If it changes from a dull ache to a sharp pain that may mean you over did it and stained a muscle.

Since you are looking to tone rather than lose weight, you may have to add calories to replace what you lost during your workout. You will probably also want to go heavy on protein to help build muscle mass.

I mostly use consoles for gaming (ps4 and wii u). I've been playing in my PC a.little more lately and got a steam account. I think by the end of this console cycle I might try building my own gaming rig.

Have you tried allrecipes.com?

It looks like a running program so your fitbit should track it very well for you. It you enter a separate log for it in MFP it will show double the amount of calories you actually burned.

Use a stationary exercise bike. Set the resistance to low. This will let you get a cardio workout without putting as much strain on your joints. It you set it up in front of the TV it can help keep your mind off the fatigue from the exercise.

It's on my gamely Q.

I play Clash of Clans to kill some time.

Since you are a gamer try to find exercise activities which feel like they have a objective. You might want to look into fishing, hunting, bird watching, or geocaching.

More or less. If you take in less calories than you burn in the day you will lose weight. You need to eat enough to stay healthy, which is why the app won't let you set your calories below a certain amount. You will lose the weight but it is going to take a while. Think about losing the weight as a lifestyle change rather…

At the bottom of your diary it should show the number of steps you took with your fitbit. If it is not it might mean your not synching for some reason. You do need to periodically synch your fitbit using the Fitbit app. Also I believe there is a item it the settings on MFP that you have to turn on to allow calorie…

The first number in the equation is your goal. The second is calories consumed. The third as added calories from exercise. The last is your final result. If the ending number is green that is how many calories you have left until your goal. If it is red that is how much past your goal you went.

Used it to make corn Fritters the other day. 1/3 cup polenta, 1/4 cup all purpose flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 cups corn, 1/3 cup milk, some parsley for color. Mix all ingredients. Fry pancake sized scoops in oil.

I also pull from the front with one arm and swing the other. Works well for me.

Getting away from my food source helps. Today I am at work and packed my lunch so I don't have an excuse to eat more. Planning an activity like going out for a walk, bike ride, fishing, etc. can help twofold by getting you exercise as well. You will sometimes have a bad day. I had a really bad binge day yesterday do to…
-
Try to remember this is a long term process. I have a problem with bingeing sometimes. I feel bad for slowing my progress but remember tomorrow is another day to try again. If you dwell on your set backs to becomes too easy to give up and go back to bad habits. Even if you reach your goal you will still need to adjust your…

You as well.

You should be able to sync it in apps and devices. For some troubleshooting. Is the Fitbit charged? Have you recently synced the Fitbit with the Fitbit app? Are you someplace with wifi or data service? There is a fitbit community group in MYFITNESSPAL as well they maybe able to help more.

When I stick to the calorie limits I do pretty well eating anything. Protein rich food does seem to have more of that "sticks to the ribs" feeling of fullness. Be careful of your portion size. Some foods are very calorie dense and do not take long to add up.
