I must be the only one finds running outdoors easier than the treadmill! I seem to be able to run faster outside, think it's because there's more to look at and it just inspires me to push that bit harder somehow.

http://www.ontheregimen.com/2013/08/28/how-to-weigh-meat-cooked-or-raw/ This post suggests raw but as Sezxy Steff says there are options to log it the way you've cooked it which is what I generally do.

With the logic that water has no calories (which is obviously fact) then surely it would be best to weigh after cooking as this will mean the calories you are calculating do not include water weight which has no calories. If you take the weight before then you end up counting extra calories whereas after you are taking…

5'2 105 pounds 31 hips 25 waist Size 8 trousers/skirts in pretty much every UK shop, size 10 top. Just going into maintenance as I've just about reached my goal weight :-)

Re-igniting an old thread but I've been getting this a lot lately! Glad it's not just me.

I'm similar as I lost 12 pounds steadily and want to lose another 5 but haven't lost anything for a couple of months! I'm also on 1200 and exercise regularly. I have lost inches but not weight which is strange! I have an electric scale and like you I could be more accurate with it - going to make a concerted effort to use…

Hi I'm 5'2 and currently at 113 pounds, I seem to be able to stay at this weight fairly easily - I'm on 1,250 calories a day which I've got used to but often go over this at the weekend and manage not to put any weight back on. However losing more weight has been hard so I've decided to stay at 113 pounds for the time…

I'm a nursing student too in the UK :-) the biggest difficulty I have is fitting in exercise as I'm often exhausted after a week of placement/working as a healthcare assistant/going to uni and so some weeks I manage plenty of exercise but others I'm just too tired or due to long days at placement/work just don't have…

I plan to do things on the Saturday and Sunday mornings like I volunteer for a local horse riding charity or plan something like going for a bike ride with a friend then it stops me drinking lots on the weekend. I'll still have a glass but knowing that I've got something on earlyish the next day stops me drinking as much.…

Definitely patience. Also smaller portions and more fruit instead of snacks like chocolate and crisps. Still have days off though :-)

I would also measure your waist and hips - I've been surprised at what a difference just a couple of pounds makes to your measurements and it's really encouraged me to keep going. My stomach is my worst area and it's been really good knowing that what I'm doing is working and I am losing weight from there. Good luck :-)

Thanks everyone, just trying to lose the last few pounds, I was a stone and a half heavier a few years ago and managed to lose it and maintain that loss but in the past year I've felt my weight creeping up again.

Is in the morning best? This is my 1st week of dieting and not sure whether to wait till after a couple of weeks as not sure if I'll have lost much in 1 week.
