I like to roast broccoli, mushrooms and tomatoes with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It usually ends up being quite a bit of food for relatively low calories. Roasting in general brings out the flavor for veggies and fruit to me. I occasionally also grill marinated tofu to go with it.

Kale. Tried it but just don't care for it.

Fake beef stroganoff is a hit at our house

I prefer the elliptical and swimming due to knee problems. But anything will work if it works best for you.

If it is an internship (different than volunteering), then you might be required to have a lunch break depending on your state. I know our interns, both unpaid and paid, are legally required to have a 30 minute lunch break in our state (I am in HR). So you might want to verify that isn't the case for you. And either way --…

Our work actually has a posted policy that includes no strong smelling foods (and it is enforced). You may also want to see if your workplace has a policy.

We spend about $75 a week for a family of two adults. However, we also purchase from the local butcher a quarter of a cow and a whole pig once a year which is no included in this weekly amount.

It will depend on your settings in MFP. If you chose mostly sedentary, and then have more activity than it predicts, you will see an adjust for Fitbit. This is because your total calories minus MFP estimate was higher. This difference is then added.

I was in the same situation last year after being laid off. Here are some of the foods we bought (Aldi is great if you have one): 1. Canister of oatmeal 2. Eggs 3. Dried beans 4. Brown rice 5. Whole wheat pasta - Aldi has this cheap 5. Frozen veggies (no salt or sugar added) 6. Bananas 7. Apples 8. Potatoes 9. Oranges or…

I have found that I drink more water during the winter by having it hot. Sounds odd I know, but it warms me up like coffee without all of the sugar and milk I would have added in the past. I also like to use the Crystal light packets sometimes for a flavor boost at the office.

I also had trouble with my fitbit when I was holding onto things. I think because my arm wasn't moving much it didn't register that I was walking. Now I try to use my opposite hand when I am steadying myself on the treadmill and it seems to help a lot. My steps a lot closer now and the mileage. I know this isn't possible…

I love making angel food cake with a light custard and strawberries.

I have mine connected and eat back about half of my calories it gives me. It seems to be fairly accurate but I am trying for at least a two pound loss each week which is why I am not eating all back.

This is a feature being rolled out now, especially for your phone. The blog announcing it hit today but my update hasn't completed yet. But it won't include every single restaurant at first, just the main national ones.

Here are my top 5 gadgets: 1. Scale 2. Crockpot 3. Good knife 4. Rice/all purpose steamer (can cook not only rice but also fish, veggies and other lean meats on top) 5. Dishwasher safe cutting boards (I cut a lot of fruits and veggies and got tired of hand washing several times a day)

Snap - http://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/apply WIC - may qualify depending on the age of the child - http://www.fns.usda.gov/wic/who-gets-wic-and-how-apply If you think you qualify for Medicaid, then you most likely also qualify for some type of food assistance. But you have to be willing to apply for it. My single mother was…

I like to make Irish Steel oats with a tablespoon of dried golden raisins with a little extra water. As it cooks, the raisins plump up and add sweetness without any other sugar.

This may have already been recommended, but just in case. When I was living on a really tight budget, we ate a lot of the following: Eggs Dried Beans cooked in the slow cooker or stove Brown rice Whole wheat pasta with ragu Turkey slices rolled with american cheese Apples Carrots (cut them myself to save money) Frozen…

Mine still isn't syncing. Did you do anything to get it back or did it just start on its own?

If I need something sweet then I go for a grande skinny vanilla latte. More calories than plain coffee but still better than some of the other combos I used to drink.
