I recently discovered Epic Bars and Halo Top Ice Cream. Both are really good and pretty low-cal.

I need more accountability buddies! Weight loss pals! Whatever!

Same story here. Back to tracking and eating under 1,700 calories today... and it's so hard! My body quickly got used to eating like crap again.

I'm in the same boat. I gained several pounds over the holiday break. So far today I'm doing well, trying to keep the discipline of eating with a calorie deficit. It is hard, though. And it's very common, so don't beat yourself up over it. You did it before, you can do it again! Just hop back on the wagon and keep it going!

I do this sometimes, but definitely not every hour. Sometimes I get so involved in a task that I sit uninterrupted for 2-3 hours. Maybe I can set an hourly reminder on my phone or watch to remind me to get up and walk around the office. Your other suggestions are good ideas too! Thanks!

I have an Apple Watch, which tracks active vs. resting calories. But I actually don't integrate it with MFP. I am too tempted to eat my exercise calories. So if I don't get any exercise calories reported in the app, I'll be sure not to eat them.

For me is when I hit 260 pounds. I don't know why that was my breaking point. Not when I got sleep apnea, not when I had high cholesterol, not when I was diagnosed with a fatty liver. It was the 260 pound mark. Which I finally am under.

Welcome to MFP! I think you'll find that everyone here is generally nice. If you can keep your discipline of eating less and tracking, you can do it!

I've been taking vitamin D for years, and it hasn't seemed to help me lose any weight.
-
Eat less, move more. That's it. Easier said than done, I know. But at its core, that's all you've gotta do.
-
I track steps with my Apple Watch. And I do horribly. Most days I don't get over 3000 steps. I sit at a desk all day, and I'm on the couch or at a desk at night. I've got to get more steps in somehow.

I try to do it just once a week. Your weight can fluctuate so much day to day. Plus, if I do bad and my weight goes up during the week, it gives me some time to get it back down before my next weigh in. :)

Do you have a digital scale that's reading 121? They aren't super accurate, and you're within the margin of error. I'd say you're fine... don't sweat it over 1 pound!

Don't most cereals have a serving size with the according number of calories? I use a measuring bowl with the markings on the inside of the bowl. If I'm really hungry, but the serving size is 3/4 cup, I'll put in 1 1/2 cups and when I log it in MFP, just say I had 2 servings.

I like protein bars. I tried Quest bars for a while but they're gross. PowerCrunch bars are really good, though.

Am I the only one who thinks these are completely stupid?
-
What is the point of this?
-
I never thought of that!

It's even worse for me, man. At my work we have free soda. So hard to resist.
-
Eat less, move more. That's it.

I hate to be that guy, but it's "lose", not "loose". Good luck with your weight loss journey

I feel the same way. I'm 4 days into a 1500 calorie limit and it's been hard. Each day is a little easier. Drink lots of water, it will help you feel more full.

Exercise/movement/etc burns fat. That's it.
-
I'm a software engineer, which means I'm sitting at a desk all day which is part of the reason why I'm fat :(
-
Thanks for the advice, everyone! I will keep up the fight!
-
I said 2 lbs/week. I know it might be a lot, but I am so sick of being fat.

These were the values that MFP gave me. I'm 34, 5'7", and my starting weight was 254. I go to the gym 2-3 days a week and usually burn about 350-400 calories (10 miles on a stationary bike and some weights).
