True. You are right. Though I feel like I need to "kill" my workout every time. I do some weight training and sometimes end up not doing the exercises I intended and skipping straight to a cardio session. And sometimes I cut that cardio session short when I know I should be doing more. I was just wondering how people have…

I am not frustrated with my trainer. I need pushing. I don't like not doing well or getting tired aka feeling like I am failing so that is why I get frustrated. When I am alone I won't push myself quite as hard. I don't know how and where people get the energy even if they have a why. I guess my why is just to be healthier…

I rarely try to set those mini goals for myself. Sometimes when I am working out I can push myself for that, but most of the time I honestly am not bothered if I can't do more. It's not a motivating factor for me

Yeah I am looking for those. Currently, my gym doesn't have many that I can do.
-
Usually I do circuits. I have a trainer and when I am training there I have more focus, but I still get frustrated because I get pushed beyond my limits. When I am alone I try and follow my own circuits based on what we have done, but I find myself just lacking motivation by myself.

Music does help but eventually I run out of songs. I start getting mad when I can't find good music. I am not a big music person so maybe that plays into a factor.

Not looking for answers from people here for NSRED. I have done a lot of the suggestions and keep doing them. I can only keep trying. I am just explaining what obstacles I have in my way.

I never claimed there wasn't something amiss. I know there is. People DO hit plateaus because the body adjusts to what they have been doing and they need to readjust their caloric intake. If you don't adjust that, then you will stagnate. Yes, I know that supports your point. :P I can remember some of the night eating, but…

I wish it were that simple. I have had this issue most of my life. Sleep medications don't seem to mitigate it, although doctors have tried to use them for that. Here is information on it. here You are not the first to tell me to eat more during the day. I hit my calorie markers and then some during most days. If I had a…

You are absolutely right. I make no excuses for why I am not progressing. I work out pretty hard when I do as I have been working with a trainer for a while and she kicks my *kitten*. The issue has to be my diet. The problem I do have is fairly unique to me. I have NSRED (Nocturnal Sleep Related Eating Disorder). I will…

Could be a bit of both. Probably more water. I tend to fluctuate fairly widely sometimes with water even when I am watching my sodium intake and drinking water.
-
I have the same issue. I can eat a lot of calories in my sleep. I really need some kind of support system for it because it is hard to find. Do you have a support network? Maybe we can make one here.
-
Do you eat late at night or after you sleep?
-
Both!
-
Hi, I posted here. I have the same problem. Perhaps we can support each other because unless someone has this, they do not understand it. I get a lot of advice but most of it I have already tried. Message me if you want to fight this together!
-
I have the same problem except I have NES and eat in my sleep. Sucks so much!
-
Me too! Add me please!
-
Bah, people are lazy. They have time. Also, congrats on your engagement!
-
TL:DR, I want the same thing. Feel free to add me. I shall offer nothing but positive support!
-
Support is here! You can do it!
-
Welcome back; feel free to add me. I find this site would be better if people took more of an active role in supporting one another. Not everyone does that. They use it to count macros and such. Feel free to add me. That goes for anyone.
-
Sure add me if you like!
-
I am down if you are. Add me!

I turn 42 in Dec. I have about 40-50 pounds to lose. I made the mistake of stopping exercising and now I can't seem to grab that motivation. I was walking/jogging but it gets dark out early and it's cold. Guess I need to suck it up and pull out a reflective vest.
-
I would accept the request. I need more friends here and support. Positivity!
-
I hear that!! When you start getting close to your target those last 10-20 lbs are a killer.
-
I guess because I put the body of the email in the post. I really didn't consider the fact people would get pissed about it. Maybe they think I am trying to sell her stuff. *shrugs* Live and learn. They will feel bad someday for flagging me!

I think a good deal of dieting and nutrition advice I read and see is nonsense. I posted it to see if there were people who had something educated to say that would discount the claims made.
-
I actually do wake up. I have NS-RED. It blows if you aren't familiar with it. I have to lock up as much food as I can at night. I never go through the night without eating.

Thanks for your honest answer. Much appreciated.
