Welcome and Good Luck! :)

You are doing fantastically well - Instead of just 'doing it', You are taking the time to educate yourself about food first of all. This is absolutely vital and something not many people do (and as a result, gain back the weight lost!). Keep doing exactly what you are doing and stay positive. You can do this, I promise you…

Also - MFP is completely free! :D Best of luck - good to have you here.

You can do this :)

Welcome back :] I transitioned from WW to MFP. Don't get me wrong, WW is pretty good for 'accountability'. You have the social aspect of regular meetings plus knowing you are getting weighed at X time every week can also work really well - However, WW is full of flaws and is hugely complex these days and I also feel it…

Hi Sarah - Your hair is AMAZING (Sorry, needed to get that out first!) You've done fantastically well with your weight loss so far - you'll have no problems reaching your goals. It's good to see you focusing more on fitness now. Heart health is so important. Best of luck!

Welcome back :] Good luck - You've got this.

Take advantage of the fact that you have your husbands active support! In my opinion, this process is a whole lot 'easier' if you have someone helping you along the way! Wishing you both the best of luck reaching your goals :D

Ah, the old green tea myth!
-
Wishing you the best of luck reaching your goals :) Having said that, Ease up on your deadline. You'll lose your desired weight but having such a strict time-line is going to put a lot of unnecessary pressure on yourself. Slow and steady win's the race! You can do this!
-
It's good you don't have a time-line! I feel that can put too much pressure on and make the whole process seem a bit daunting. You can do this! :)

Welcome! :) Amazing progress so far - congratulations! You'll have no trouble reaching your goals - you clearly have the right mindset for this. Best of luck!
-
Good to hear you're in this for the long-run! Quick fixes never, ever work. You can do this! :)
-

Welcome and well done on the loss so far! Keep up the good work :)
-
Wow, you look incredible! :)

A fantastic rate of loss. Look, if we could all click our fingers and shout "Let me be 10lbs lighter NOW" and bam, it happened - we wouldn't be here. This is a process. Sometimes a long one. But we are all in it together and trust me when I say, you are doing great! :)
-
Move on from it. It's okay :)
-
Of course not! Like the others have said, listen to your body :)
-
Amazing, Well done! :)

Ah, meal timings. When I was obsessive about weight loss, As a rule I would eat like this: 8AM: Breakfast 10AM: Small snack 12: Lunch 4PM: Dinner Meal timings don't matter for weight loss - but having a rigid schedule such as as the above, for me - made 'eating' such a 'thing'. BECAUSE I had such a time-table, I would be…

I hear you - this happened to me many times. On around the 6th attempt, I had to look at what was going 'wrong' here. I soon found out, my 'diet' was so stupidly restrictive that my body was crying out for normality. I went right back to eating (and then some) and quickly gained any loss. This isn't about cutting out…

If you are weighing in daily, expect fluctuations :) THIS is the exact reason why I choose to weigh in once a week. This is not a fat gain.

It really doesn't matter about the individual macro's :) I lost 30lbs without worrying at ALL about sugar, carbs etc. It doesn't have to be complicated.

I was grocery shopping with my boyfriend a few months ago. As we were passing the fruit aisle, I saw these cute little pre-packaged fruit boxes that would be ideal to take to work. I loaded one in and asked my boyfriend if he wanted one too to which he replied "Argh, no - way too much sugar!". I looked at him and said "Are…

I guess it depends on your goals. For me, I have never, ever counted my macro's despite my personal trainer suggesting I cut my carbs to below a certain percentage. Personally, I was already counting calories and thus limiting my life-style to a degree so adding macro counting AS WELL would overwhelm me. I didn't want to…

The flow chart above is quite a good guide. The fact that you haven't gained weight is a huge plus, right? :) Don't worry - Unhealthy days happen. They just do. Keep up the great gym work, tighten up the logging here and there and keep at it. You'll get there.

50 pounds in three months is a very aggressive goal. A healthy weight loss is 0-2 pounds per week though you are likely to experience a whooooooosh in the first few weeks. I'd say, focus less on the number you want to lose. It's good to have a goal but a deadline isn't a positive move, in my opinion. You can do this! You…
