@MalkinMagic71 The upright is probably more challenging, I am guessing but starting with a recumbant is better than not starting at all (I Hope). That was a great snag on the Nordictrack! My bike was under $ 200 as well, made by Exerpeutic, the reviews were good. I see much of your success had to do with restricting…

@MalkinMagic71 Congratulations on your loss that is awesome:) I am getting a recumbant bike next week and I was wondering if you have an upright bike or recumbant bike. I don't think it will make too much of a difference for me as long as I am moving and getting my heart rate up but I was just curious what you use and how…

Being reminded by threads like these in mfp of how good it feels to finish a workout and how much better I feel mentally and physically if I keep at it consistently.

Craisons and Chopped Apple sauteed in butter and sprinkled with Cinnamon on oatmeal

I am planning on excercising some form of moderation, mainly just dishing out bite size portions and just getting a little taste of everything. It adds up so quick!

I have been winging it and being very unsuccessful, after reading these posts I see that most people pre-log so I am going to start pre-logging and spacing out my calorie intake during the day so it is more even.

@bri170lb try them cut in half and sprinkled with cinnamon and put a little bit of honey on each half then bake them cut side down for 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Also, the greens are yummy steamed.

I like most veggies too but I don't really fix them. Just to try and get some in my diet I have been buying bags of the vegetable medley at Wal-Mart, which is baby carrots, broccoli florets, and cauliflower florets. I use nonfat plain Greek yogurt mixed with the powdered Hidden Valley Greek Yogurt Dip mix as a dip so it's…

Doing good on the no pop but not so good on the exercise sooo just for today I will exercise for a half hour even if it's just walking in place.
-
Next weeks goals are to: A)drink water instead of diet pop B)strength train 3 days C)walk 30 minutes for 5 days D)incorporate fruits and vegetables into my diet for 6 days
-
For me just one good day but it's worth something and I'd like to reach my next "scale" mini goal.
-
Just for today I will 1) make a greek yogurt dressing for my veggies instead of 800 calories worth of ranch dressing 2)not drink diet pop but water instead 3) walk for a half hour

Its nice to hear I am not the only one struggling with a streak of too much food and not enough exercise. My "bad " days started around Halloween and have lasted through my Aunt's funeral on the 7th when I did'nt log anything for four days straight. Now I am back to logging but can't seem to get motivated to exercise as a…

I've never heard that women burn more during TOM either, although it would be nice because it would make up for the sugar I eat due to low and irregular mood swings.

Thank you all for your input. @rabbitjb and @oyChihuahua I really feel cleaning is purposeful exercise that fitbit doesn't pick up even though its not your typical conventional exercise. @yarwell I was wondering why mfp asked for the time, thank you I went and reinputted the information. All said and done between fitbit…

OK, so it helps to sync your Fitbit and not procrastinate for two days. Sorry for any confusion. After logging the cleaning and syncing I am 200 something to the positive (at least that makes better sense to me than being 1600 over my calories)
-
@shadow2soul, yes I logged the cleaning.
-
Thanks for the info. Btw. I will check out the website.

It says I have burned 2198 and I have eaten 2600. I have had fitbit for a couple of months. I have to say cleaning seems much more demanding if not equal to 10000 steps. Although, I would have to agree that mfp does seem overly generous with the calorie burn.

Thank you for this post. I thought after getting a digital scale that logging foods in mfp would be straightforward but it gets kind of murky when logging liquids and condiments. Thanks for clearing that up.
