  • Me and my husband have needed to lose weight at different times and for different reasons. The one thing i can say is it's so much easier to "Stay on Track" when he is onboard. Atm we are both trying to lose weight it's great .... we are both onboard for cooking healthy diet friendly foods, we go for walks together to earn…
  • on a hard floor and the battery's are pretty new.
  • Thanks for the reminder!! I remember now last time I was on here successfully I used to set my goal to maintaining that way it didn’t matter how much I was under the numbers where green, yes really bad days might still go red but mostly I can be abit more flexible .. sometimes I think we need reminding it’s not a race.
  • I hate to say it, but if you haven’t lost for months you arnt eating 1300. I think your first step should be to tighten up your tracking weigh and measure EVERYTHING!! Weighloss can stall when doing everything right but it usually only lasts a couple of weeks and then you drop suddenly, if your weight hasn’t move for a…
  • No sadly not there isn’t anywhere we would be allowed to plug it in
  • Sorry for the hijack I’ve never done IF but I do naturally eat during a limited window daily. Has anyone got some good resources? Do you guys still log your calories?
  • I had a total hysterectomy 4years ago my total outlook to food changed, eating for the sake of it became a thing which it had never been before.. I eat way more sweet stuff now and have zero portion control and I put it down to the sudden menopause. I’ve never been over weight till now it sucks and I do put a lot down to…
  • Ooh I do love eggs in the morning
  • Tbh I did have the platter last night but I didn’t eat any of the rice, I logged the whole dish but without knowing the cals of the rice portion I didn’t really know how much to reduce it by so I didn’t bother .. so there are some logged but not eaten calories logged ... I just hate seeing the numbers red it makes me feel…
  • I was married at 21, too young really but I was lucky to meet the perfect man and we are still together and still in love and now I'm 40! That said a lot of my friends who got married around the same time are now divorced and I think that's more often the case. My mum married young at 20 and was divorced by 24 .... she met…
  • Ooh me! I'm 138lb and would love to be under 130 by Christmas.
  • its also worth noting I went from Aluminum to a carbon frame, and to clip-ins all at the same time :/ I knew it would be a big leap ... but damn I keep falling off the thing at traffic light which although highly amusing for motorists isn't great for my confidence. Thanks for the advice, I've got my 6 week service due…
  • Wow people are making Sooooooo many assumption's here. I have no idea what their relationship is like, is the boyfriend a bad guy? Abusive?? none but the OP know that. Some people just keep secrets! its just as easy for the boyfriend to be a lovely and supportive man. Perhaps the OP has trust issues, perhaps she's had BF's…
  • i find mine pretty accurate, it always gives me less than mfp would have given me for the same exercise.
  • I was sceptical, sounds revolting. Tried it... loved it. I'm not sure it really helps 'lose weight' or feel full... but it's actually quite nice tasting and now one of my favorite ways to have coffee.
  • Yeah but you can't scan them then :(
  • omg that is sooo not helpful! (not the reply.. i mean the 'function' ) If i was feeling really mean i could just spend a few hours stuffing up database entry's that hundreds of people are using daily just for giggles! I really do not have the time/desire to go into the diary every day and check the entries to make sure…
  • I didn't think you could change existing entry's?
  • How can you scan codes and then alter/create new entries. Im a creature of habit so I do tend to eat the same foods repeatedly, but I do like the convenience of scanning rather than typing each entry.
  • My old site was also user entered but when you added a food it wouldn't let it be entered unless the macro's added up to the number of calories the food was supposed to contain. I also assumed that any 'Barcode scanned' items where getting the data from the manufacturer? Or entered via a team here on MFP?? I've checked a…
  • No they all have the macro breakdown, I exported it all to Excel and almost none of the individual items add up correctly. Even those that I barcode scanned, I looked at the packet and they don't even match the label :( MFP seems to blanket sum the totals of 'Calories' on each individual items to get your Total Calories.…
  • you say you don't make the traditional meat, starch, veg meal anymore .... am I being dumb or is meat, potato and veg not the perfect 'clean' meal?? My kids grew up eating an almost clean diet, that's not to say they didn't have treats, sweets, fizzy drinks etc but they where a treat and not an every day occurrence. Turning…
  • you can't replace the strap as far as I can see.
  • It's pretty hard to gain muscle while on a deficit anyway, it is technically possible while in the first few months of weight lifting but outside of that it's not very easy to do especially accidently. As a woman, gaining muscle is pretty hard without 'trying' if your eating a deficit then any muscle gains will be small…
  • The gain likely to be mostly water weight from the intensity of your workouts. Our bodies store additional water to repair damage, which is bad and great at the same time. It's bad because the panicky amongst us race around acting like the sky is falling because we are gaining too fast and rationally we know it's not all…
  • nope I wear mine everywhere except swimming pool and the shower for obvious reasons.
  • I have the charge I've been using it since September :) add me if you like.
  • Hey there I think you need to be practical and trust in other people for a bit ...Haybales, myself etc we are all banging on the same drum... 2000 cals should be the total minimum food you should be consuming. And I agree with haybales I higher number is more realistic... I personally think 2500 per day every day is a much…
  • Thanks for the advice, I have set my goal to maintain and my cals to what my Fitbit told me my avg burn was over the last month. I'm not saying I will eat up to my maintenance but I'm considering that my upper limit and I've my low limit should be 1100 because that's what's safe. My aim is to eat somewhere between those to…
