One month later...Hit a new PR this past weekend. 365 for a solid 2 reps. Most I've ever done and it felt great. Was definitely a confidence booster. Used a belt, wrist straps, power rack with safety bars, and a spot. Obviously this is the most weight I've had on me and safety first!

Double cheeseburger and fries.

You're absolutely right. When I took my shoes off I noticed it a lot more. So between that and actually focusing on stretching my hips, things have been so much better.
-
315 for 5 reps, starting to get a lot more comfortable. The belt definitely helps. Also I've been going barefooted, socks of course. I've found it helps me plant my feet and makes me push through the heels more.

Yes its okay to start a program over. I've restarted many times. Its a marathon, take your time and have patience, which you seem to have. Best of luck :)

Drink a casein protein shake before bed.

Do you have a cheat day or a cheat meal? If its a cheat day, I think we found your problem.
-
Yes. There are a million gimmicks out there trying to get your money. All you need to do is be in a deficit and you'll lose weight, simple as that. Eat smart and be aware what you're putting in your body, and exercise regularly. Done :)

Greek Yogurt

I don't track. Water Any toppings (ketchup, mustard, pickles, jalepenos) Any supplements, pre workout, bccas, etc
-
She's squatting and doing the leg press also. So to start, maybe the PT thought it would be overkill.

I have a "refeed" day, not bc of metabolism or anything, but just to keep me sane. My cheat meal is usually a five guys burger and fry. And the rest of the week its chicken, rice and broccoli. So it just helps me to stay on track. I've also heard its good for you, just never really looked into it. So I'm curious also.

Start with a super light weight until you get comfortable with the form and motion. Once you become comfortable, increase the weight a little bit, once you start feeling strained, decrease the weight.
-
If you go over your calories, burn more calories. Walk, run, lift, whatever it takes to get back to a deficit if thats your goal. At the end of the day its how bad you want it. But the simple answer is no, just bc you work out does not mean all those extra calories becomes muscle. You have to be aware of what you're…

Yeah, so extremely helpful.

Anything with zero fat or fat free duh :) I like yogurt. But they're only like 100 calories. Good in protein too.

Update. Felt great today! Tried some new things and with everything you guys had to offer and the assistance of the PT, I had no struggles today. Was squatting 275 for 4 reps, no pain, discomfort, other than feeling the burn of squatting haha. Thank you guys again for the help. My back appreciates it lol.

Both? Why does it have to be one or the other. Should go hand in hand.
-
I chose to bite my tongue but I'm glad someone said it. Agreed.

I love doing Negatives I try to do them once a month or so. It's what helped me get my bench press up. Haven't really tried it with any other exercises though. Make sure you have a spot.

We all start somewhere. Welcome and enjoy! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

I'm no where near Redwing but I'm slowly gaining weight and my strength is going up. 3,000 calories 375-400g Carbs 50-75g Fats 150-175g Protein I should actually probably up it to 3,250 tbh.
-
Priorities.
-
I'm in the same boat. However currently at 170. Best of luck, going to add you.
-
I count macros every day. As long as I hit my protein intake (150-175g), keep my fats relatively "low" (75g), and hit my 3k a day mark, everything falls into place.

Are you doing variation work? Normal stance, sumos, etc. One thing I do is switch up my workouts frequently. There's a guy on YouTube that's weighs around 160lbs and can deadline over 600lbs. You should check him out, definitely worth watching. Maxx Chewning or something like that.

Here's an updated photo, taken last night. Shoulders are coming in a lot better. Don't mind my flex face, still learning to flex, breathe, pose, breathe lol.
