  • This is 100x better than the Macy's jeans-size plate. I am so tempted to get this for my home...
  • I eat based on energy needs. And yeah, sometimes I eat a surplus of calories, sometimes incredibly less (like when I prefer to hibernate all weekend).
  • I was just about to make a post that I accidentally made my own ice cream by just trying to blend frozen fruit into my grass-fed yogurt... Haha. I added it all up in MFP and the entire bowl's calorie count (mostly yogurt, anyway) was SO MUCH lower than a couple regular spoonfuls of the Talenti gelatos in my freezer. I…

  • Hey, I am using it to track the items that I eat and their nutritional content, for example sugars, carbs, protein, fiber, calcium, iron, but please note all of these are merely examples only if applicable. You are reminding me that MFP is merely a calorie tracker. I have no idea if the oils or pills have calories, but…
  • Thanks for the replies, all. Yes, it was the same scale at the doctor's, 6 months ago and now, and both times fully clothed, and probably both times with relatively full belly. Yes, I was wondering if the doctor's office scale accounts for weight of clothing and footwear.
  • Thank you so much, SusanMFindley. I am looking forward to it!
  • Can anyone here attest to cellulite removal lotions? That said, I use Bath & Body Works. For now. :) EDIT: Just noticed this is an oooold thread! Great! My question still stands. Cellulite removal, anyone?
  • https://www.fitbit.com/user/5459Q7 Here's me! Active user and VERY excited to wear my Alta as often as safely possible!
  • I recently purchased the Fitbit Alta — waiting for it to arrive in the mail. I will post updates. I am skeptical of its accuracy, but am very curious to see the numbers it will record, and compare the results to those of my treadmill (I already compare/contrast my own treadmill's stats with MyFitnessPal's database stats).…
  • 1.) What is hiit training? 2.) What are some exercises you recommend for fat loss that don't involve a machine? (I only have a treadmill, a stepper-thingy, and a low bike machine) 3.) I'm a wimp. I'm 5'7.5" and 140 lbs and I'm so out of shape that stairs wear me out. An exercise that gets my heart racing or my body aching…
  • Thank you, JennGardner and amyrebeccah! Fantastic tips. I like to be mindful of each food item I've eaten. I'll consider it, veda44! zalmann919, that's awesome. I'm happy for you. I greatly appreciate it, everyone. :)
  • Okay. Does healthy sleep help with healthy weight? Or no correlation?
  • ^ Oooh, good to know! Yeah, it did, but I haven't bought/worn rings regularly before. I finally found rings I liked. I tried them on, passed on ones that were too small, and bought the ones that fit on my fingers snugly. Aww, thanks, Sabine! Perfect! Thanks both! ^_^
  • Thank you both! AnvilHead, your explanation helps a ton. I get it now. B)
  • No, but I feel like I should be measuring myself (with string/tape measure) every day, because I work out everyday, and my goal is to lose fat, but not necessarily weight.
  • A lot of people log in with the goal of maintaining... And it's evident by these forums that a LOT of people continue to log in for the community. :) I hope that after I reach my goal (which I'm not even positive is solidified — I'm either trying to lose 10 pounds or I'm trying to convert all my fat into muscle, or both)…
  • I'm active everyday, although today I won't exercise until very late at night since I have plans from 8am until almost 10pm. I hit the ground running (so to speak) on Saturday and have been exercising daily, recording food, and blogging since then. I'm also looking for some active fitness buddies. You got this, edixon127!
  • From central Ohio, but living in North Carolina. :) Hi!
  • Ah, thank you very much for your reply, SueInAz. That's awesome to know, and congrats to you. :)
  • I will look into body recompositioning. This is a brand new concept for me. Thank you for the quick and helpful replies! Thanks very much, LadyLallybroch, for your helpful and relateable reply. I am going to do my best to work out and convert fat to muscle mass. There's still a lot for me to learn. Thanks also to…
  • I noticed that... Something on MyFitnessPal I appreciate is its end-of-the-day note, "If you ate like this everyday, you'd weigh ____ lbs in 5 weeks." No idea if it accounts for metabolism or what; it's basically suggesting I'll maintain my weight. So if I want to lose weight, ... your comment helps a lot. Thank you. Yeah.…
