Hi I'm also 5'3"! Trying to lose a few pounds (goal 115, currently between 117-120), then when I reach maintenance - recomposition. Overall goal is to get stronger by lifting/kickboxing :) There is no specific timeline for me, I just want to stay as active as possible and enjoy the process.

@jacalynrose11 looks so good! ps I'm going to have to try that garbanzo bean sandwich, sounds delish.

My issue was that I could never be at a maintenance weight. I would gain 20 lbs quickly (eating way over 2500 calories per day) and then lose the weight in an unhealthy manner (restricting, eating between 800-1100 per day). I would go from eating junk food to eating only fruits and vegetables, there was never an inbetween…

I make salads, bakes or soups using the following as my 'protein': -tuna -cheeses (goat, feta, any kind really) -beans -eggs -chicken -greek yogurt Then I pair that with tons of vegetables/fillers like: -brussel sprouts/broccoli -sweet potato -quinoa -rice -peppers -celery -kale -spinach -mushrooms -tomato -cucumber…

Mississauga but in the summer on weekends I'm at the cottage (Kawartha Lakes) ... wish I could live there permanently.

Chicken wings (can easily eat 3 lbs), nutella (straight out of the jar) and like @sardelsa cured meat (salami, prosciutto, soppressata). Ooo and also samosas. I can't keep any of those in the house or I become a monster LOL Salt, salt and salt <3

@janejellyroll thank you!!!

@jacalynrose11 I eat a lot of string cheese, cottage cheese, feta cheese and eggs for protein but am too thinking about cutting out dairy slowly. I've been bloated randomly so I may have to do an elimination diet to see what's causing it, maybe it's the dairy. I just googled and see articles mentioning oats, almonds,…

@hippysprout @WinoGelato actually I had the same experience when driving to Chicago. Stopped by a few coffee places (McDonald's for example) and when we asked for coffee with milk the servers looked at us like we were crazy... turns out they never have milk, just cream... When we got to downtown Chicago and grabbed…

Hi! I was in your situation earlier this year (went from about 130 to 118). I've been maintaining all summer and have stayed at 118 :) I have been kickboxing and lifting weights since the summer and am seeing great improvements from that by eating at maintenance. January to May: I ate at 1200 calories every day and bought…

Agreed! Friday morning is my weigh-in for a reason ;) Before summer came along I thought I would be trying to lose, but then life happened and I've been maintaining for the past 3 months. No complaints because at least I'm not gaining any weight. Now I have a trip in September so it's time to buckle down and control my…

Hi! So sorry to hear that... :( I have been eating consistently 1200 calories and I'm 5'3 (not very active). I have reached my goal weight and have been maintaining, but consistently log in Monday-Friday as 1200 calories and eat more on Saturday and Sunday. I believe my maintenance is about 1550. What has really helped me…

I've been experimenting this week and I really like this! 10 mL Dijon Mustard (I use the Maille brand) 1 tbsp Honey 3-5 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar (depending on how acidic you like it) I split this between myself and the bf yesterday, came out to 35 calories. I put my portion on about 2-3 cups of lettuce. I like using baby…
