Happy new year! How's the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu going? So psyched about staying back up!
-
Thanks for the article. This is very useful.

Do you think MFP is accurate with the amount of calories burned during Brazilian Jiu Jitsu? I usually adjust my time to how many minutes I spent with my heart rate up.

Muay Thai looks so intense. I would love to take classes but don't have the time. Maybe the group link mentioned above will be active again.
-
I started Brazilian Jiu Jitsu a few months ago and love it. Is there an active BJJ group on here?
-
@VeryKatie Congratulations! That is very exciting. Keep us all updated.

I'm in the two week wait right now. Crossing my fingers for everyone.

I want to participate in the October challenge. I have been eating terribly during vacation and need to get back to it. I also think I've been stressing about ttc and would get upset when AF came. So I need to work on that too.

My husband and I are going up to Ohio to visit family and go to Cedar Point. I'm not pregnant yet so I can still go on roller coasters. So excited! Plus my fertile week is during our trip so even double excitement.

@Kirstie155 What did you do before you started having pain?
-
I also downloaded the Glow app. It's nice too but had way too much drama on there. I like the Ovia community more.
-
Has anyone else been guilty of obsessing over "symptoms?" I'm guilty of that.
-
Has anyone tried the Ovia app? I downloaded it yesterday and it's pretty awesome.

@VeryKatie I now see that the rise in BBT indicates higher progesterone levels. I found a blog which explains all the hormonal stuff very well with graphs and everything. I found it on my phone, so now I need to find it and post it here.

@WifiresGettingFit Wow! That's a lot in one week. @puffbrat I hope everyone feels better.
-
Okay. Thanks for the clarification.
-
I am ready for Friday already haha. Anyone else?
-
Is anyone charting their Basal Temp? Do your readings make sense? Mine are all over the board. Also anyone tried an OPK? Any luck with it? I don't get any positives with mine, but still have symptoms of ovulation.

I'm not sure if I can. I'm not as familiar with the good spreadsheets as I am with Excel. I can see what formulas you use and go from there.

So a little frustrated with the TTC. What can I say, I'm an impatient person (33 years old here, going on 34 in December). I thought I was preggos back in June because I felt sick, tired and moody. I wasn't preggo at all. Good luck to all you ladies this month. Praying for PPT's for all of you ladies.
-
I may have to borrow some of those spreadsheets. I use them at work all the time and I like them.

@VeryKatie I see you're a fan of the Kinect Dance Central as well. Have you tried the Hip Hop Experience? It's harder than Dance Central but still as fun.

My #1 goal is to log in everything everyday. I've been slacking in this department big time. Other goals: Lose 5 lbs this month Get into a habit of working out 4x's/week Keep calories to 1550 or lower We can do this!

I found some pretty cool chair cardio type of workouts. I was breathing a little heavy so it does work. This is what I'll be doing while my ankle still recovers.
-
If your body is truly tired and hurting, then you may need to take a rest day. Maybe do some yoga or something similar instead. Hope you feel better.
-
What tracker device are you using? I have a Garmin and upload my steps at the end of the day. On MFP I track exercises separately because I end up removing the Garmin when I work out so I don't end up doubling the calories burned. Maybe start tracking your steps in the note section under the exercise journal?

I weigh myself once a day in the morning before having anything to eat or drink. I keep a trend line going to see the real weight progress.

If you're going to be using the new scale from now on, then go with that number. Remember that it's just a number, a measurement. Every scale is calibrated differently and each manufacture and model number will have a different specification for that scale; cheaper model may be accurate +/- 2 lbs where a more expensive…

I don't have kids, but my husband can be a picky eater. He doesn't eat many vegetables unless it's full of flavor and spices. He will eat all kinds of veggies and things he normally wouldn't if it was done up in Indian, Korean, Jamaican, ect style or if he pours Sriracha sauce over it. Your kids may be super tasters and…

Make sure you have good support in your shoes. You would be surprised by what kind of a difference it makes.
