I was at in an ad for one of these products in 2001. The product I took had the stimulant ephedra as an active ingredient. I lost a lot of weight because of how I worked out and how I ate. Maybe the product helped a tiny bit and maybe it didn't. I can't say for sure 17 years later. Ephedra has since been taken out of these…

You telling me to get off my couch and go to Planet Fitness would help me

Maintaining motivation, pushing past plateaus, ways to curb binge eating. I could go on and on.....

All true... though I suspect maintaining a weight loss has something to do with the CONTINUATION of sound eating and adequate activity once at goal. :D And as mentioned in the title of the thread, my potential need for help as well... but that's ok... bite my head off.

Sometimes I think I'm dreaming. I really thought I'd never be lean again.

I was recently accused (kinda) of two different things by two different people. A woman that I know asked me whether I had a weight loss surgery and a guy I met at the gym last year came up to me the other day and whispered in my ear, "What are you on?" I told him, "A diet" and laughed and laughed and laughed. I love…

You can never have too many friends!

Not trolling for love or compliments. I just seem to have caught lightning in a bottle for the RIGHT reasons, and want to share my experience/process so that others might do similarly... but I do get what you are saying about "diving into threads."

Thanks. Check out my profile. It's a looong story. Weighed in at 192 this morning.

Wah, no one wants my help or wants to help me.

Can't seem to bring myself to run again. Thought I would try it again when I got under 200 lbs. Nope! Having a great deal of success just walking and using an elliptical and my knees and ankles feel great. Physique transformation is not about any one meal or workout. It's about a general consistency over time.

My daughter had sleeve as well this past spring. She had one or two rough days in the very beginning, but clean sailing since. She looks tremendous.

Why do people not like Jillian? She is badass!

Not so sure about that. Age is definitely a factor. It takes a strong man to get old. Ask any old guy. I played full court basketball with fit guys mostly in their 20's and 30's and the occasional fellow dinosaur until I was about 50. Even when I was pretty fat, I could play. I have a decent shot, I'm a decent ball…

Awesome!

I had a similar thread that was deleted recently. I think it is because I showed a picture of the magazine ad from 2001 and some might have thought I was again endorsing the product or somehow spamming. This thread has the product edited out.

During my current program, I try to do at least 45 minutes of cardio every day... but it usually ends up being 5 or 6 days per week. However, probably twice I will return to the gym for a second session of 45 minutes of cardio. I lift maybe twice/week just to get a little pump since I doubt I really can gain any mass being…

Thank you. It's not about any one meal or workout. It's about a general consistency over time.

Sucessful weight loss is not about any one meal, food type, or exercise session... whether missed, a great one, or a terrible one. It's about a general consistency over time. At least that's my experience. Can we be friends?

Can we be friends?

SOMETIMES people need a kick in the butt. SOMETIMES they need a hug.
-
SOMETIMES people need a Dr. Phil-like friend to say, "How's that working out for you?"
-
SOMETIMES it is best to tell a person they have spinach in their teeth... even if it costs a little embarrassment for a few seconds.
-
They are not ALWAYS different things.... like if someone asks whether a certain pair of jeans accentuates their physique. SOMETIMES that person is just fishing for a compliment and SOMETIMES they are looking for honesty.
-
It all depends on whether you want support buddies to tell you what you want to hear or to tell you the truth.
-
Fantastic job. You should be quite proud.
