In for the moms... :D :p I kid, I kid.

Sounds like a minor strain to me. I'd play it safe, ice/massage/heat it for about 3 days, and ease back into your climbing routine. On another note, climbing rules! Feel free to add me.

Yup. Water weight, digesting food, etc can easily see you hit a 5 lb "increase". But you're not fatter, your body just isn't processing and expelling your fuel like it should...

:p I agree that the sauce is amazing! That's why I try to opt for nigiri or sashimi...if the sushi is legit, the flavor will be great and maybe add a bit of wasabi and light dip of soy sauce. NOM.

Slightly lower caloric content (if you're skimping on calories) and better Glycemix Index rating than white rice. It's negligible and shouldn't be a no-compromise IMO, but if brown is available, I'm going to take it. Plus I like the taste of it better than white.

Before I read the link, I assumed it was like chicken broth and veggies only. Turns out, there IS some decent nutritional value in this diet, although I'm not sure why you'd want to flush your system this way vs. just drinking lots of water and eating a balanced, sustainable diet? But hey, if it gets the ball rolling, have…

Sashimi is the best. If you must stick with traditional rolls, find a place that will make it with brown instead of white rice. Obviously stay away from mayonnaise based sauces and stick with a staple fish such as tuna or salmon for maximum protein and omega-3's.

Actually, green tea is hydrating; very similar to good old H20: "It was found that tea consumption did not produce a diuretic effect unless the amount of tea consumed at one sitting contained more than 300 mg of caffeine (equivalent to six or seven cups of tea). This position was confirmed by a study (Scott et al., 2004)…

Yup! Love to hike/trek, and have a goal to climb Mt. Rainier in summer of '17. Feel free to add me bro.

I could be wrong on this, but at least when they first started hitting the market, accuracy varies from model to model. I love my Fitbit Charge HR, but I don't count it as gospel truth in regards to caloric expenditure, distance, etc. In my opinion, what it's good for is to keep general tabs on nutritional/health trends in…

Not trying to be snarky, but your body doesn't "think" anything at all! It just does what it is designed to do, which is adapt to change by burning fat, building muscle, and working at maximum efficiency.

I'm up for some new friends! Just please send a message and start a dialogue. :-)

Keep flexin!

I have the Charge HR, and I like it a lot. It's not perfect (distance calculations, etc), but it keeps you mindful of your activity level and helps track general trends in your HR, sleep, activity, etc. Love the silent alarm, caller ID, and date/time functions.

Oh, it works alright. But take heed: it is NOT for the faint of heart or those with flagging commitment issues. I am a veteran of the armed forces, and while I did (and completed) Insanity, it has that name for a reason. Easily harder than any sustained true "boot camp" style workout I ever did in the military. I'm not…

FT25 veteran here. Need to get back on it, but I LOVED it. I went from 184 to 164 in about 3 months and was in the best shape of my life. Eating right is of course more than half the battle, but it's a good battle to be in! Keep on your grind!

No no no! I was talking to the OP. You seem to have a nice smile. :-)

Do you have resting b!tch face? No...serious question. Because if you do - even if you're hot - most guys won't even try. Smiling helps more than you realize.
