  • You look so great, we had the same starting body type but I have not been nearly as successful in the muscle department as you have been! Such an inspiration!
  • I was much the same way as you. I found that 'practicing' my steady breathing has helped, and I've gotten better as I run more. If you're trying to gain, just eat more protein/calories to compensate. Also, making sure that you are properly hydrated is SO SO SO important. Also, I have found that limiting dairy helps my…
  • @USMCvette86 Yeah, I have currently moved onto full-time work so now I'm trying to squeeze in exercise whenever I can, which can be tough to make a habit! Working a desk job does not help but I'm slowly cutting my mindless snacking down at least.
  • It's been 13 months (I took a few months off of logging last fall/this winter), but I've lost 50 lbs, went from 220 to 170. And was confident in a bikini for the first time in many years during my vacation this month!
  • This thread is EVERYTHING. Love it. I've decided healthy-ish eating is the perfect fit for me. I like my junk food and chocolate too much to say goodbye!
  • This is great, I'm not sure how inspiring my diary is, but it is open!
  • Found these in my Tesco the other day. I've been missing the Lemon Bars and Chocolate Chip Cookies since I've been in the UK, but these caramel bars are the BEST.
  • I've lost 35lbs/15kg since last March... over my winter break I did some travelling and realized that my suitcase, 12 kg, weighed less than the amount of weight I've lost! Sure put a big smile on my face even as I was having to drag it around. It sure felt heavy!
  • Back pain was actually what started me on my fitness journey! Have you thought about a chiropractor? Mine has literately changed my life, and my story sounds very similar. Also, stretching has been very helpful for me as well. Great job on your weight loss so far!
  • I completed Week 5 Day 2 of my couch-to-5k app today, which was 8 minutes running, 5 minutes walking, and another 8 minutes running. Yesterday was just 5-minute runs, so when I looked at that 8 number I freaked out a little but I did it!
  • cravenista !
  • I graduated from college this weekend (a success all in itself) but I also noticed that I wasn't shying away from taking pictures with anyone! The pic on the left is me in September, starting to feel like I needed to make some changes - of course I didn't, until March, but I've lost 16 pounds and see such a huge difference…
  • You look great! We have the same shape/starting size, curious about how tall you are?
  • Fiber One 90 cal Lemon Bars and Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownie bars are sooooo good as well. They're both good for morning and the cookie is like a desert so it's a good treat too.
  • I saw someone in passing that I haven't seen in a couple months, and the first thing they say is "have you lost weight - you look good!. Why yes, yes I have
  • I was 6'0 by the time I started high school, and honestly it wasn't until I came to college (I am now a senior in college) that I started to really own my height. Well-fitting clothes changed my life, and they're worth the investment - and teaching your daughter what looks best on her (I was raised by a single dad, so I…
  • You're my twin! I am 6'0 and just hit 216, I'm hoping to get down to the 170 range by the time I start grad school in September; I remember being in the 70s and 80s and feeling pretty good about how I felt.
