A shirt I used to wear to work is now long enough to be a dress. It used to come to just under my waist. Feels great!7

today I wore a pair of shorts which used to always be a bit big on me, and then all last summer were way too small, couldn't even get them over my thighs. they finally fit me perfectly and I'm stoked to finally be able to wear them10

I scored a pair of size 4 skinny jeans yesterday at Goodwill and they're a bit loose, but comfortable. I also got a pair of boys' jeans at Target for 2.50 on clearance.
I was wearing 18 to 20 women's jeans last year (or 36 men's) and would never have considered skinny pants.15 -
A pair of size 10 pants I bought last month are hanging around my hips, dragging the floor. And it's not that I've lost weight, or been an exercise demon. But I am walking more.
My two previous requirements for pants (aside from fitting) were wash-'n'-wear and gotta have pockets. I'm adding a third: Belt loops.

@rideclercq4 - very cool on the flip turns! When I was in high school, my stroke was 'fly (and therefore also IM). What was yours?
@dutchand... how wonderful about your mother!
@kathygk56 - huzza for knee bones! :-D And for loose skinny jeans! Me, I'm still not thinking about skinny pants ... but I'm 64, need panties, and don't like pantylines.
@teahlee123 - I'm not sure what an arc trainer is, or resitance 15, but it sounds impressive as all get-out! COngrats!
@sarahkan... - wonderful about the measurements & soon-to-be-"big pants".
@120pound... - "it's something"? No, it's a lot more than that. Way looser clothes are great!
Re "cardio is all I can manage" -- You might try some 3-pound weights, and some bodyweight exercises.
@shaybee377 - way to go on the binge-free Sunday! Three gold stars for you!
@thereshe... Wow! thats one impressive hike!
@meritage4 - very cool about the speed boost!
@1nana2many - truth comes out of hte mouths of babes and children.
@barbara3... - happy 1derland!
@gamelia - excellent on the stairs, and the pants!
@vada44 - it feels so good to have the loss noticed, dunnit?
@April_Chi... any plans for the extra material?
@Dana_E - what a lovely way to change your day! I hope the kid's OK. What's P90X3?
@fitfatty88 - Nothing like having your loss made concrete! And what a testament to your increased fitness!
@cobblah - Congrats on the dechinning! (From your pic, doesn't look like more than 1.)
@StacyChrz - Best. Day. Indeed! So now you're a fast woman? ;-D
@meganpai... - way to go, weightlifter!
@Elizabeth... - you'll adapt to those thinner hips. ;D
@carmkizzle - a pair of cool compliments!
@VryirishGirl - way to slim down! XL to L ... when I passed that line, I felt so ... so ... *normal*.
@SueSueDio -- Oh, very cool, about the closet cleaning. A few weeks ago, I handed on all of my outslimmed pants -- well, at least all those I found at the time, that were clean -- to other members of the chorus I sing in. One told me it was so nice to have pants with pockets.
@unawind - wow. I can manage 60 on the abdominal pull thingie, but not on much of anything else that involves arms.
@Erephyre - well done on the sit-ups!
@Canuckgirl - Very cool, about your "dress shirt."
@Obsidian... - yay for the shorts!

Having a few wins lately:
- shirts size is going from XXL to XL
- previously too-small pants are now baggy
- flights are getting more comfortable - more slack in the seatbelt, legs not pushing into the armrests, plenty of room between the tray table and my stomach
- fitting on rides at a theme park without the attendant having to shove the restraint down to make it "click"7 -
Today I went to the gym planning to walk for 60 minutes (it's one of my off days from weight training). 10 minutes in I got bored of walking and decided running would feel better! That's right, I actually *wanted* to run! I alternated running and walking for the next 35 minutes20

I've been reading this thread for the past few weeks--almost sad that I finally caught up to the end of it. It's been so inspiring! One NSV I had recently was taking my grandkids to our favorite bagel shop and only having an unsweetened iced tea while they had bagels. It was after school, not really time for a meal, I wasn't even hungry, but the old me would have had a big old bagel anyway. This time, I was fine with drinking my iced tea and just spending time with them.12

It was yoga clas after work. I had forgotten my shorts and had a t-shirt dress on. I realized I had a friends harem pants in the car.
They fit and were fine for yoga as I took them off I realized they were MEDIUM Not L or even XL.
They fit for YOGA-with all that stretching
Yay for a smaller me!11 -
Someone told me I looked great, and I really believed them.19

Today I can fit my "fat jeans" from 12 years ago.22

I went to buy new clothes on the weekend and had no clue what size I was. Being optimistic I grabbed Mediums and size 8, mentally thinking that I would be lucky to get into them. Went to try them on and the pants fell off of me!
I am officially a size 6!! I have never ever been a size 6 in my life!
Going from a size 14 I used to think a size 8 was unobtainable or just a day dream. But a SIZE 6!! I am beyond impressed with myself.37 -
I just have to share my amazing experience yesterday. As I was planning my running schedule this week (Week 8 of Couch to 5K), I decided my 3-28 minute run days, and then decided to throw in a 'light' 20 minute run on a day when I'm working late. Then I had to start crying and laughing because I spent 5 (well, 6) solid weeks afraid of W5D3(the 1st 20 minute run). I am not recognizing the person (dare I say RUNNER!), I've become. I really feel like a runner, and this is from someone who averaged 1,000 steps a day 4 months ago. I am working hard to shed the fear and embrace a healthy me:) It's going to be an awesome summer full of tennis, volleyball and plenty of outdoor time.26

I fit in my size 11 jeans from high school! At the start of my journey 14s were getting tight6

Maxed out the leg press machine last night at 490 lbs x 12. I'm finally up to using the inclined leg press with plates, that's a big win for me! A few months ago I was struggling with mid 200's x 10. /cheer9

My fasting blood sugar this morning was 102. So close to normal. Yay!! Side note my highest I've seen was 120 or so.

This made my tear up. So. F-ing. Awesome.10 -
I ran my first 10k ever and finished 3rd in my age division!23

Saw my reflection in a window while walking around campus today and felt like I could actually see progress!! Feels good9
-
I have been adding reps to my kettlebell workout slowly over the last 3-4 weeks. Today I did the math and realized that I am doing 198 more reps (over the course of 3 rounds of 8 sets) than when I started at the beginning of March!9
-
I saw someone in passing that I haven't seen in a couple months, and the first thing they say is "have you lost weight - you look good!. Why yes, yes I have9

Last night, I attended my son's annual end-of-year band concert. It's held in the local high school's auditorium, which has seats that are NOT forgiving for larger people. At last year's concert, I had trouble fitting in the seat. This year, however, I fit in the seat just fine. That made me smile pretty big.12

I donated blood after almost 8 yrs! BP and diabetes took a toll on my health and I had lost my track. Now, after having lost over 40 lbs, my BP and sugar levels are 'pretty normal'. Yay! Feels good when you contribute something to the society.21

My wedding dress came in yesterday. I was so nervous to go try it on because I haven't seen it since November. I had also ordered it a size smaller than I was at the time so I was terrified I hadn't lost a whole size. But when I tried it on at the store the lady says we're going to have to take it in a bit! Panic over.28

I'm a school nurse, and I have lunch duty every day. I used to spend it pretty much standing in one spot--this year I decided it was a great opportunity to get more steps in, so now I walk around the cafeteria the whole time. Yesterday, a 3rd-grader said to me "You must not ever have to go to the gym, cause you walk all the time!" Glad they're noticing!20

Fantastic! One less thing to stress over!3 -
I can go down a notch in my belt:)
Lol it's a big deal to me. Plus it's getting easier to do push ups9 -
Took my children to the park earlier and I can fit - comfortably - on the swings (not the baby ones - YET). I haven't been able to sit on a swing comfortably for DECADES. Literally, DECADES.
I had a great time swinging and even had the courage to jump off like I did as a child. All the while my husband was sadly shaking his head at me. But I didn't care, it was FUN! And I'm going again tomorrow, the children will have to race me to the swings (but I'll win the race, my strides are bigger, hee, hee!)21 -
Did my first Spartan race and boy it was a killer. 15.2 miles, over 5500 vertical feet, 30 obstacles and taking me just over 6 hrs. Hardest physical thing I've done in my life. Only missed one obstacle, the spear throw, so I was happy to limit my burpees to 30. Never fought cramps so long...started mile 3. All in all, a great experience though and a memory I'll never forget.

I had a pair of jeans that my teenaged daughter begged me not to wear again due to "saggy mom butt". I asked her what she meant, and she said that they were so baggy on me that they looked awful.
