My NSV starts with a fail.
I took leftover frozen pizza to work for lunch yesterday. It was a pizza that DH and our kiddo had eaten while I went to an appointment, so I didn't know how much of it they had eaten. I eyeballed it and guessed it was about 1/3 of the pizza, logged it, and ate it. But when I asked my husband how much of the pizza they ate, they said about half.
I ate an entire half of a pizza BY MYSELF.
The NSV is that now knowing that my dinner calories were severely limited as a result of this binge, I stuck with it. I had a piece of string cheese and a glass of wine for dinner. Fancy!9 -
I finished C25K today! Now on to C210K14
-
Celebrating 180 days of logging today! I have been waiting, waiting and waiting to fill up the entire report field! Love mfp. Love all these threads. Love the 38 lbs GONE!! 7 more to go!13
-
tried on an old zip up skirt that hasn't fit for a long time and it fits again! I think that's my favourite thing, being able to wear all my clothes again!3
-
My ankles look smaller! I've always had really thick ankles, so i mean that's weird, but kinda cool.9

Achieved a normal BMI for the first time in 6 years13

After reading this checked my BMI, 24.6 I am finally out of overweight category- so happy!!11

I had a thought, that even though I'm bi-polar, I've managed my ups and downs so much better than I realized during the almost 2 years of my lifestyle change. I fall a lot but I keep getting back up and just working with who I am, knowing I can get there. Every day I keep going is another day I win! I had an especial bad day yesterday, the worst in years. I worked through it and came out of it today pretty darn well. I made a lot of progress. the mental, emotional, psychological and physical all go together and I'm sure getting my calories, macros and exercise has helped to a great degree. I don't know if any one can relate, but this is a huge nsv for me!20

This afternoon my jeans kept munching my underwear down. Guess smaller jeans are in my future!6

What does NSV MEan PLEASE??0
-
I went to Subway and got a footlong and couldn't finish it. Had to wait ten minutes to feel hungry again. Usually, I would still be hungry after eating one.6

Non Scale Victory - something good about your weight loss (or gain/maintain!) journey that's unrelated to the number on the scale.

I re-joined MFP in feb 2015. I was eating too much 'wholewheat' bread-->8-9 slices a day for breakfast. I was so embarrassed to see how much carbs I was consuming! Gradually I cut it down to 4-5 slices and then 2-3 slices! Now I am bread free for almost 2 weeks now!! I feel great!! Now onto tackle chocolates, ice cream and Chinese food!!13

Went running w husband and baby for the first time10

I'm a kilo away from my 2011 weight, which made me depressed at the time because i was so fat.4

Can fit into my Old Navy size 18 jeans!! ON sizing is smaller than Lane Bryant sizing. I haven't been in ON 20's let alone 18's for years!!11
-
I did my first proper push-up today!!15

feeling okay about my body during sex16

Finally having my inseam for pants longer than the waist. But now it's not easy to find 30x32 pants in the outlet mall. Found a great pair of Izod golf pants, but the 32x32 were too big, and the associate at the store said they don't have 30x32. It's a good problem to have!4

1245 day streak
New protein products to try
About 75% feeling better. Sinus infection/cold

I about down from size 48 to 38. I haven't worn this size since high school.10

I have collar bones again!!
My sister told me I look skinny today.
And I tightened my bra to the middle hooks!!
Triple NSV!!12 -
My collar bones are back ☺ It actually feels sexy having them. My hip bones are making an appearance too! 8kg more to my goal weight ☺7
-
wow - 338 pages! I'm starting at the end
A pair of size 12 jeans that was snug when I bought them a few months ago -- as in, I couldn't get my cell phones (work and mine) into the side pockes -- slid off my hips without being unbuttoned. I bought them well after I began maintenance, but walking more and attempting a bit of jogging is apparently doing some good.
@fadingweight - terrific! great move, starting at the gym and enjoying what had frightened you.
@becca_ru... - Congrats on the weight and feeling strong and fit!
@soufauxgirl,
@sueann10 and
@rideclercq4 - I downloaded C25k and then never started. <sigh> Congrats on *doing* it. Though instead of pooping out after running a block, I can now run a half-mile at a time. Well, jog.
@sueann10
@getthntysear and
@Obsidian... and
@cariduttry and
@srecupid
- a new size victory. @srecupid, 10 sizes is wonderful!
Happy birthday, @gethntysear!
@Robo_mo... way to go on the resting heartbeat!
@jonjaxmom - excellent choices at the pancake breakfast!
@sarahbri923 - Congrats on the personal record! And, hey - i grew up on swimming teams. there, a fraction of a second is big.
@azgram - <cheering>
@seomra - I'm in awe of people who can do 5k. I'm still working up toward a mile.
@caridutttry - excellent job not letting the back derail you.
@kmbrook - Yay! for the belt and the leg-crossing. Get yourself a new belt when the end of the old one starts flapping around.
@brian_gunther Way to go, Slim!
@SpiderGw... That's grand! (Could your HIIT trainer have been hitting on you?)
@JustMiss... Cool, knowing that he gets you.
@ituakalau - isn't that a great feeling?
@12Sarah2... Well done, with the walking and care to feed yourself well. And the New Size Victory.
AND the running!
@aft85 - Now you have another perspective. You've lost to this point, and if you want you can continue.
@LuckyNu... I take it the pizza was square? Congratulations on keeping on track in spite of the halfza. (If I find myself with about 1000 calories at the end of the day, I'll sometimes order from Papa John's, paying close attention to their nutritional info. A thin-crust large Chicken and Veggie is 210 cals/slice, so half of that even leaves some over.)
@KareninLux - way to go - both the committed months and the 38 lbs GONE!
@DaisyHa... yup, the ankle resize is indeed cool.
@JessicaMcB and
@Seomra - yay! for the normal BMI. Doesn't that feel great?
@IILikeToM... That is *wonderful*, managing your ups and downs better. And working through your especially bad day - way to go! I have tears in my eyes. Happy tears.
@MrsDogLady - hungry jeans? Yup, definitely get them to Goodwill.
@beautifuls... Good on you feeling full. Next time you can't finish, try putting the unfinished part into the fridge.
@Peaches - Once you get the sweets under control, why not add back a bit of bread? Even sweets and CHinese food are OK in moderation.
@kaaaaaat3 - way to go! I was never any good at push-ups even when I was swimming competitively as a kid.
@Obsidian... lucky you, getting sex *and* feeling good about your body during it.
@ASH_DVM - yes, definitely a good problem to have.
@lseed87 - wow. that's one impressive streak.
@sarbu24 - Huzza for the triple play! It may be time for a new bra.
@Estar73 - yeah, it's fun when those bones appear. I sometimes just lie about and feel those hip bones, marveling at their existence.

This is a swimming NSV - last time I'd been swimming regularly I'd been stuck to 99% open turns cause my belly was too big and made flip turns really difficult and squeezed all the air out of me...
Well today was the first time I'd gotten in the pool after losing about 80 lbs and I was able to do about 50-50 open turns vs flip turns during my 6x500s. I challenged myself to flip turn each lap of my final 500 and succeeded. Starting to feel like I can actually swim like when I was in high school. Some day soon16 -
My biggest NSV is that my weightloss inspired my mother to finally tackle her weight. She is not using MFP but has a medical nutritionist overseeing her diet (she is pre-diabetic) She has lost approx 10 kg and one pant size and already looking so much better. So proud of her12

Nice! Making progress! I used to swim too and it's so hard knowing what I used to be capable of, but getting there slowly
