  • This was literally my turning point. I've tried every thing on the planet to lose weight - for about a week at a time, until the rules, the hunger, or the rebellion got too much. But this dude a) lost weight on Twinkies and a multivitamin, and b) had better health indicators because the weight came off, not because he was…
  • When I'm munching but not hungry, I brush my teeth or suck on an Altoid - both strong mint flavors. Somehow it short-circuits the munchies.
  • Start drinking more water. Drink a glass before you have a soda. Try to shift your thinking to "water is for thirst, pop is a treat." I look at soda like ice cream: if Im going to have it, it's more of a dessert and I savor it rather than guzzling it down like water. Over time, I've come to find that water is more…
  • At the same roughly 245-250 lbs, I can vary clothes sizes based entirely on exercise. It's amazing what a difference toning your body can do for your appearance. • The MFP app counts my steps. I don't have any other trackers. I haven't logged any exercise today other than the steps the app logs automatically. It went down a small amount (maybe 40 calories?) after I lowered my weight. It's just when I logged in today, the goal weight was way up. I'm just trying to figure out which…
  • I have the urge to binge when I haven't been eating enough protein. Sadly, my brain interprets that as "eat ALL the carbs!" When I eat more protein for a day or two, the urge usually subsides.
