Great work!! We have similar stats. My HW was 316 and now weigh 148. I also began exercising before and after the surgery. I had the sleeve.

Update!

@nypa96 Yes, I have loose skin on my arms, breasts, abdomen, and thighs. I have lost 168 lbs; my highest weight was 316 lbs. I’m roughly 5’4”. Although the appearance of it bothers me, it’s only noticeable when I’m naked, when I have a swimsuit or if I wear sleeveless tops. Even then, I would do it all over again in a…

If keto eating was messing with your digestion, it’s usually too much fat or too much dairy. While on keto for weight loss, only 50-60% of calories most come from fat; a chunk from protein and the smallest portion from carbs. Also, eating fermented foods and ingesting enough salt, magnesium, and potassium is essential to…

@Wonderwomanvik Hope you’re feeling better from your surgery! Thanks for sharing your experience. What kind of evidence did you present for them to cover it? My primary insurance won’t cover it. Thanks!

What are your macros like? Do you exercise? Are you logging in your food accurately?

Same author; different cookbook.

Saline enema for when you're at that point you're describing.

@NicoleL874 How did it go?
-
Yes, really! If you're morbidly obese your best bet to keep the weight off is with surgery. Can you lose the weight on your own? Of course, but how many times have you lost a ton of weight to gain it all back? Do you want to do that all your life? And, to answer one of your questions; yes, it definitely improves your…

Is all up in the air at this point, but from a political standpoint, it's not in their best interest for any senator to vote on a bill so controversial (even with revisions to the version passed by the House). Mid-terms are next year and a vote in a bill that would strip millions of people of health insurance is not a good…

Plateaus DO happen! There's something called "weight set point" and as you lose weight your body will try to hold onto its old weight set point. To break them, I do something different, like exercise more (or less), increase calories (or decrease them; something to confuse your body. Weightloss is never linear.

I use butter or avocado oil.

Similar stats to yours here! Up your protein. I'm back to basically a pre-surgery diet for 2 weeks to break a stall and it's working. Talk to your nutritionist to see what he/she recommends.
-
That's a high protein, low carb plan; not keto. It's similar to what I was doing pre-surgery. Keto is high fat, moderate protein, low carb. The ratio will depend on various variables, such as, your weight and percentage of body fat. But, regardless, it's a good diet to follow.

Some background: I'm 5'6 and 260 lbs. diabetic, hypothyroid and PCOS'er. I've always been obese. I'm leaning heavily towards the band because it's adjustable and I feel like me having some responsibility/control over it is a good thing. I got a sleeve. My HW was 316 and CW is 175. I lost 60 lbs prior to surgery. I have…

If you started a running clinic you probably need to increase your calories. You're making your body work more on the same amount as before and it's probably on starvation mode.
