Thanks KnitorMiss. I actually took three tests, two were from the same packet and were the ones where you get a cross for pregnant (both had dark crosses), and the other was a digital one which says "pregnant" and how many weeks. That is another reason I am panicking slightly, as it said 3+ weeks, which I don't think could…

Hi Pink, I have PCOS and will start TTC in the new year. Would be trying now but need to sort out my diet and exercise first to get my body ready. Feel free to add me. Would love to hear how you're getting on. Pip x

Hi, I'm looking for friends too. I have PCOS (diagnosed 2000), my main problems are acne and irregular periods. I'm kick starting my new diet and exercise regime now as I want to get my symptoms under control and am looking to start TTC next year. Please feel free to add me. Pip x

Thanks ds. I'm going to try the first workout tomorrow...

When you're on medication like metformin and aldactone you need to make sure you drink enough water. It could be that you're dehydrated which would make your urine smell stronger. I get all sorts of embarrassing symptoms, wouldn't know where to start listing them!

Hi, for some reason I don't seem to be able to send a friend request (gremlins in the IT system), feel free to add me though.

Metformin can cause a deficiency of vitamin B12. you need B12 to produce melatonin, and you need melatonin for a good sleep cycle. If you do take melatonin you should take B vitamins.

Thanks ladies, glad it isn't just me!

Hi Truddy6647, I should have mentioned in my post that I have low estrogen and high androgens (although all within "normal" ranges). I do not have enough information to advise anyone to take or not to maca, so would suggest everyone does their own research. Maca does not contain any hormones, yet appears to nourish the…

I took Maca (in my morning smoothie) for a couple of months and it (a) gave me lots of energy and (b) cleared up my skin. However, my cycle is usually around 34 days, and I ended up with two 50 day ones, and after two months I became so sensitive to it that if I put it in a smoothie and took one sip I would immediately…

Hi. Same here, my acne is far worse if I have milk, cream or ice cream - even small amounts set it off. Sadly I'm not acne-free even when I'm not eating them, but much better. Cheese and yoghurts don't seem to cause flare-ups for me.

Thanks for sharing Bellamarie. I had never thought about it that way either. Just the motivation I need to get myself back in the gym.

I love that you went to McDonald's for the toy - I adore the despicable me movies! Huge congratulations on your amazing achievement, and for doing it all without being super-rigid. You look fantastic.

Thanks for posting Geeky. So important we all know these things. So glad your dr caught your cancer in time. Wishing you a long, healthy and cancer-free life.

Hi Amber, Don't listen to anyone who says you can't have kids, you just need to figure out what your body needs and get it back in balance. Some of it is genetic, but a lot is lifestyle and you can do a lot yourself without needing a dr. A friend of mine was always told she'd never have kids because her pcos was so severe…

Me. I'd love to have kids at some point but currently single so just focusing on reducing symptoms and getting healthy.

Hi Triplesteppin, I was diagnosed in 2001 and put on metformin, dianette and cyproterone acetate. I was always a healthy weight and symptoms weren't too bad so I got pretty lazy and just relied on the meds to keep everything in order. I came off dianette about 4 years ago as I get bad migraines and was hoping they would…

That should have said Anita not Anota!

I'm 34dd and use the Anota Extreme Control bra. It is perfect, really comfortable and keeps everything in place. Quite expensive (£40) but worth it.

Just looking at the amount of weight people in this thread have lost has inspired me to stop moping and try again. I lost 20lb a couple of years ago with a low gi diet and lots of exercise but I have been lazy and it has all come back. I'm off all my medication at the moment for a couple of months so I can get new blood…
