  • Please show me your medical degree. As a recovering bulimic, I agree with the rest of the people on here - get help.
  • ME. I stopped logging when I had 500 cals left for the day. I was maybe 300+ over. Eating clean and going for a nice run today. At least I skipped the booze last night.
  • I'm going to save this. sounds yumy
  • Hey! You should absolutely try it. It's a really easy program and it doesn't take too long (about 30min a day at most). Running on a treadmill is fine, especially if you can only get to your run late at night or during the really hot parts of the day. Just set it at a very slight incline. It mimics the motion of pushing…
  • One mug. Black. Completely addicted. (was at four cups a day, so I've cut back. I get headaches without drinking ANY in the morning) I like to use good quality (fair trade) coffees because I drink it black. They have a nice, smooth taste.
  • I like black chai with orange and cinnamon. Most grocery stores carry a pretty big (and affordable) variety now.
  • Would love to join. Stepped on the scale this morning after taking a "break" from calorie counting for three weeks, and to my horror (but not total surprise), I had gained five lbs. Yikes.
  • I feel sick by lunchtime if I don't have my breakfast. Nothing huge. I normally have 1/2 a cup of old fashioned oatmeal with a banana cut up into it. I'll have a protein filled snack between my morning classes to perk me up again if I'm feeling slouchy or hungry. Breakfast is an important meal for me because I wake up…
  • Yep. Oatmeal for breakfast. Tuna for lunch. Every. Single. Day. Gotta love college budgets.

  • I thought it was a little odd too. I enjoy 1-2 pieces of fruit a day but I thought my sugar totals were a little ridiculous, haha.
  • Oof. I'm so stupid. I've been using my brand name of coffee, but now looking at the entry, it seems it's a user created one that doesn't account for the milk in the title. It also says it contains 5g of fat and 16g sugars. No wonder my sugar totals have been so high lately. :embarassed:
  • When I log my black coffee ("brewed from grounds"), MFP says that it contains carbs and sugars
  • The Star Kist tuna in a pouch! If he has an insulated lunchbox it'll be a bit tastier, but they're fine to be out of the refrigerator. 18g of protein and 80 cals.
  • You should really try eating more than 900 a day. ): It's not good for you! If you don't eat many small meals during the day or large quantities of food, maybe try getting a protein shake or eating more calorie dense foods. You're body really slows down when it doesn't get enough fuel. That being said, don't force yourself…
  • Yep. Black Coffee has calories, carbs, and sugars. Diet sodas have lots of sodium in them. Teas are typically zero across the board, but the do have caffeine (unless they're an herbal or fruit tea, but it's still good to log them).
  • I would say sedentary. Lightly active would be a job where you're constantly on your feet. Like a store clerk or a nurse. An hour of walking back and forth from the copier isn't cutting it as lightly active if you don't work out during the day. And your weight has stayed the same because of the calorie bump.
  • I have my "Friday Night Chinese" every week. But my boyfriend and I split the carry out entree and the steamed dumplings. Still a pretty substantial meal, but I look forward to it after a draining week of university life, and I still exercise those days. Holidays I also don't bother logging. I'm not going CRAZY, but most…
  • Artificial sweeteners WRECK my stomach. Like those sugar free candies? If any of you have had experiences with eating too many "sugar free whatevers," you get what I'm saying. :embarassed: I personally try to stay away from Crystal Lite and other things like that. Above all else, I think they taste terrible. I'd rather…
  • I love it. I've actually gained a couple lbs using it, but it's all muscle (I was already down to a healthy weight, but my muscle tone was abysmal). My measurements are a little smaller, but my arms are like, ripped now. I've never had biceps like these and I'm only using 3lb hand weights.
  • I'm so glad I can relate to other people on this issue. It's not like I'm ungrateful; you obviously took the time to prepare a meal for your family and for myself, but I'm sorry, it's just not very healthy. They mistake it for snobbery, like I'm "too good" for her cooking. I always eat a little bit, I just never take more…
  • YES. EXACTLY. Like, brown rice isn't healthy if you use a ton of chicken broth and then eat like, four servings of it. It's about moderation too. She recently started Weight Watchers but still doesn't weight/measure food, and she's always bragging that she's under her points. You can't just eye-ball a cup if you've never…
  • I also have this problem with my boyfriend's family. His mother gets really offended if I only take a very small portion/don't finish everything on my plate/or if I go with, "I already ate, I'm not that hungry!" But, y'know, if you didn't cook with so much salt and butter, I might eat more of it. It's just very awkward.…
  • Sounds like my roommate. d: It *has* caught up with her belly, though. It always does! I just try to never come back hungry and make sure that I always have my own food in the fridge (with my name on it, of course).
  • LVL1D9 ~ I'm excited to start lvl 2. Lvl 1 is much easier but I still HATE the static lunges with bicep curls. And it's not because they're very hard, but because I can't keep my balance. I constantly find myself readjusting. Haven't lost any weight, but there's already a huge difference in the muscle tone of my arms and…
  • I use 3lb. My 5lb weights are m.i.a., and I don't think I could use my 8lb ones. My arms and shoulders are still plenty sore, so I think it's at least doing something. (;
  • I started my first day today after finding Level 1 on YouTube. I've lost 50lbs mostly through cardio exercises, and I realized that my muscle tone is abysmal, so I thought I'd give the 30DS a try. Man, my arms are tired.
  • Perhaps a pair of diabetic socks. I couldn't tell you a brand from experience, but I know that they're made with fibers that are specifically for keeping your feet dry.
  • I want some oatmeal SO BAD. ):

  • You guys should all become motivational speakers. :0] I became really discouraged this past week when I stepped on the scale and had gained 1.5lbs. But like I said, I know this is because I haven't been able to really exercise because of my bum foot. I've been trying to figure out what a good strength training program…
  • Awesome! And yeah, I'm not too worried about the lbs. I've lost 50lbs, and realistically I'm probably not going to be losing many more with my body frame. I'm in a totally healthy weight range right now, so I'm not really looking to lose weight. I'm just CRAVING those muscles.
