Healthy foods that don't require refrigeration?

My husband umpires kids baseball on the weekends and is usually there all day. There's a tournament this weekend and he will be doing 7 games in a row with hardly any breaks in between games. I'm talking like 5 minutes at most before he has to be back on the field getting ready for the next teams. My question is, are there any quick healthy foods that he can take with him to eat when he has a break? He doesn't really have any way to keep food cold so he has been taking things like power bars, apples, almonds, etc. I know that he isn't getting enough calories, though, and I can't think of much else to send with him that can sit in the car all day. Any ideas??

Do you have a little cooler and cold pack?

Peanut butter sandwiches travel well and don't require refrigeration.

I'm interested in knowing this too...
  • Tuna Salad kit. I don't usually even add the mayo
    Low fat pretzels/ crackers
I like v8 which comes in cans that don't need to be refrigerated, but it's only like 50cal per serving.

Fruits-Banana, apple, berries, oranges, peaches, plums etc

    Veggies-Carrots, celery, peppers, raw broccoli/cauliflower

other options: granola, pretzels, popcorn, peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches. Grilled veggie sandwiches wrapped in foil.

Can he bring a small cooler with an ice pack? if so keeping foods cool shouldn't be a problem...

The Star Kist tuna in a pouch!

If he has an insulated lunchbox it'll be a bit tastier, but they're fine to be out of the refrigerator.
18g of protein and 80 cals.
