I've just had a look at your diary as it's open and you're not logging so you have no idea how much you're eating so not eating enough is the simple answer. I know everyone normally jumps to Medical issues in this forum but normally the most simple answer is where it's at and the simple answer is your not eating enough.…

No I don't count dog walking not sure why but never have. though one of my dogs does run with me (the mad lab) and she's been rather uppity lately as I haven't been able to run with her as much due to the afore mentioned ankle injury. My Golden (the handsome one in my Profile picture) just likes to bumble along and a wee…

First time here I hope a wee bit of swimming will count. I'll give you a run down of what I'm doing followed by an explanation. Daily 750m swim followed by minimum of 5k run. Oh plus walking the dogs ( but I don't count those). Looking forward to seeing everyone else's achievements in the group. 'Pinch and Punch the first…

Eat some carbs

Actually you're wrong. People generally don't burn as many calories as they think and intensive training makes you more hungry. Statistically people do put on weight while training for a Marathon. It's not just losing the weight it's getting the balance if you don't eat enough your training suffers and you lose energy.…

@bashore98 Why do you think that? Where did you get that nugget from? The only information I know of is thatalpha-linolenic acid could increase your risk if you are already at risk but there is no specific research or studies that show that and the dosage would need to be extremely high. Also the same acid also has anti…

Jus over 50 miles. Have a couple more lined up for this year

I'm a Vegan (been so for around 20 years) Don't worry about the percentage of carbs, percentage is a poor way to measure nutrition. I normally hit around 70 or 80 % but because of my activity that's on around 3000 kcal which would be totally different to someone eating 1200 Kcal s 80% of carbs on that would likely mean low…

Don't over complicate it. Look at your diet as a whole. People seem to come here and start to micro manage without looking at their whole diet. I normally go over my sugar goal at breakfast because I eat a lot of fruit but my overall diet is balanced. Sugar is sugar no matter it's source, though sugar in fruit does not…

Well I eat around 5 or 6 most days

I think that's your problem what you're eating. Fibre fills you are and is generally low calorie. I can eat half a honey dew melon, a banana and various over fruits for just 200 calories and it will fill me up. I'm running 50 odd miles a week a losing weight while eating sufficient nutrients. Yes it can be a bit of a…

MFP is not an accurate way to monitor iron. Many data entries have incorrect iron listed or none at all. Before taking an Iron supplement speak to your Doctor too much Iron is dangerous

MFP database is not an accurate way to monitor iron. A lot of entries will/do not have Iron listed (as a lot is user generated). Before taking any supplement speak to your Doctor. Too much Iron is dangerous. Green leafy veg are a good source

Well today (it's still morning) I've had half a Canteloupe, an apple, a pear, Grapefruit, Kiwi fruit, Raspberries, Blueberries, 2 Bananas and that's probably around half the fruit I have in a day. So the answer to your question is No. Fruit is great has lots of Fibre, Vitamins, antioxidents and yes shock horror Sugar, but…

If you're eating more calories than you need you'll gain weight no matter what. I'm a 20 year plus vegan at one point I was a 333 pound Vegan. Being Vegan doesn't automatically mean you lose weight. If you're not counting calories and stick to wholefoods you are more likely to lose weight because generally fruits and…

I run around 100km a week. It's not going to happen overnight. When a started a couple of years back I couldn't run 5 steps. Take your time slowly increase your distances and time running and your get there. Also the best advice I ever got was to run slow. You should be able to hold a conversation. It doesn't matter if…

Have you tried them all? I find it quite unbelievable that you dislike every fruit and vegetable in existence. Don't be closed mind and think that you hate them all. Experiment with different ones and different recipes. You do not dislike all fruits and veggies you've just told yourself you do in order to put barriers up…

Most people have plenty of B12 in fact if you are healthy your body will normally have plenty unless you have a known deficiency or are unlikely to be eating foods that contain it (e.g Vegan or Vegetarian) B12 is likely to be pretty pointless and more a placebo for most people OP none of the things you are taking are…

It seems your over complicating it as a lot of people seem to. For one for weight loss it's the calorie defecit that counts which you seem to be confused how to work that out. (as someone explained above). As for Macros percentage is a poor way to calculate them as 10% of 1000kcal is totally different to 10% of 3000kcal.…
