    What would be the mechanism ? Is there a unique ingredient in Chia seeds ?

    @bashore98 Why do you think that? Where did you get that nugget from? The only information I know of is thatalpha-linolenic acid could increase your risk if you are already at risk but there is no specific research or studies that show that and the dosage would need to be extremely high. Also the same acid also has anti cancer properties. So in reality no one knows of any risk risk it's a vague link. So they may or may not slightly increase your risk but more than likely other risks are more prevalent and the nutritional benefits are likely more than a vague risk. unless you're eating kilos of the things
