This is why the church of keto gets push back. Why do keto evangelists need keto to be the one true way? It's ridiculous. It's closed minded and it reeks of arrogance.

No

Or...it could be that other people are different from you and do better being accountable to themselves and no one else.
-
Oh, I didn't expect anything less.
-
Bahaha I got wooed... I'm taking it as a woo hoo good for you for finding a sustainable plan for yourself.

Lurker chiming in. Absolutes are rarely true. Thank you to those who made sure people knew that they don't have to do low carb or keto to lose weight or get healthy. I was spinning my wheels and making myself miserable because I thought I needed to cut out carbs. It wasn't sustainable or needed for me. Moderation is…

I have to wash my hair daily because of the type of work I do. I work outside and by the end of the the day my hair is full of grass and saw dust, so it would be disgusting if I didn't. I use a good moisturizing shampoo and I make my own leave in conditioner. I haven't had a problem with damage or split ends.

I have taken in the past and I am taking it again right now. In the past Zoloft helped me lose weight. I was a stress eater and the depression made me lazy. I was eating all day and doing nothing. Zoloft helped me to be less depressed, so I was more active. It also helped me eat less since I was able to deal with stress…

I love to bake. I love to bake yummy treats. I love to bake things that people would want seconds of. I guess I am slinging cupcakes out of my kitchen. Who knew

I was referring to MFP forums in general. The general forums are full of debates and are just as bad.

Op would have her *kitten* handed to her if she acted like this in the South. I am lurker, but after seeing so much hate here for anyone who dares eat a freaking carb (or doesn't care for high fat), I realize this is not the place for me. Op and others like her are not helping anybody and at this point. If I would have…

I am maintaining at 145 to 150 which is on the upper end of "normal" for my height. My goal was not to be skinny. I really just wanted to be able to walk up a flight of stairs without having to ice my knee afterward. I think being fit is a better goal to shoot for.

That would be a very long story lol. I will sit down this weekend and type up my story and post it here on the site. Maybe it will help someone! Body recomp is changing body composition. I had back to back injuries three years ago. I broke my foot one year and then then right after it was healed I was in an accident which…

How long does it take for something like this to die down? I am so irritated at this article! How many people will this discourage from taking that first step? How many people will use this as an excuse? It doesn't help anyone and is a complete misrepresentation. I can't even with this article anymore

I didn't have a problem with cravings but my first year or so I struggled a bit to find the right balance to control hunger. I had to play around with my protein levels. I am bad about not getting enough protein if I don't log. Once I got the hang of it I did fine. I lost weight slowly and then when I was close to…

I have been maintaining my 100lbs loss for 10 years! Now I am doing body recomp (which is so slow, but I can already see progress). That article is all over my facebook page. I am so tired of seeing it.

No we are not doomed. I have maintained my 100 lbs loss from my late teens early 20s for 10 years. I lost on a "diet" that was sustainable for ME. Nothing drastic (like BL), just a deficit and exercise . I don't think I am special. I don't think my metabolism was damaged at all. I have maintained at 2000 to 3500 calories…

The article posted compared young, teenage Britney to adult Britney with two kids. I would think having kids could cause the waist to appear thicker. I have not had kids but all the women I know say the waist is changed forever.

My husky/border collie mix has become my jogging buddy. I have a band I wear around my waist to keep my phone. All I have to do is pick it up and she goes running to the cabinet her harness is in. She has come a long away, but we have to jog when the park is not busy. She has very strong herding instincts, especially with…

I just started today! I made it through day 1 week one. I struggled a bit toward the end but I pushed through! I can tell I need to work on endurance! Feel free to add me.

Seriously, all you do is tear people down. Get over yourself!
-
That's a pretty low thing to say. Seriously, do you think you are the only person to have family members or friends suffer from diabetes? I get that you have a a personal agenda about evil sugar but good Lord. You are not as knowledgeable as you think you are and it is getting comical.

*bad shoulder

I have not tried it, but it is something I really want to try. I am apprehensive because I have a bag shoulder.
-
I didn't either. I was answering a question and I stand by what I wrote.

I have maintained a 100lbs loss for 10 years without weighing any food while losing or maintaining. I am just here now for fitness. I don't know what the wink was about. I was just pointing out that weighing and counting are not the same thing.
-
Weighing food is not the same as counting calories. I don't weigh my food but I still count. I just don't need to weigh all my food out. I am good with serving sizes on my own.

CICO isn't a diet. If you are losing weight it comes down to CICO. It doesn't matter what other label you add to it. If you are doing Paleo and losing weight, CICO is at play. CICO doesn't mean counting calories. I don't understand why some MPF members can't understand the difference.
