  • @martaindale aching. Thanks for asking. Glad you are healing. @Chris_in_cal beautiful picture Ran the treadmill yesterday. Forgot how uneventful it is. Looking forward to our heatwave this afternoon for a run 18 F🤣 The snow is beautiful and Alfie is restless. We both need to get out. Looking for a race to break it up a bit.
  • Besides hummus, what vegan snacks with protein do you recommend?
  • Today it was -28 with the windshield. Agree with @Laurz9191 , sometimes you just have to go inside. Got to listen to a podcast while wunning and did some weights. Did go outside with the dog on Friday at 10 degrees. Was dressed well for it. All you could see were my eyes. I scared the dog at first. Enjoyed the run. Sun was…

Snow yesterday mixed with rain equals sleet and ice. I was glad to be done. Took my time. @tarun_yadavA Nice pace!! Good for you!…

  • Had a fantastic run yesterday in the snow. It was beautiful. My hounddog, Alfie, loved it too. Went 4 miles. Good first week,22 miles. Goal is to run or walk 3 a day for a year. @quilteryoyo I am not near that area. Closer to the Wisconsin border. Question for anyone running/walking in the snow and ice- what shoes do you…
  • Got my first run in for the new year this morning at 6:00am. 18 degrees and loved it! It’s all about the layers! My dog loved it too. Watching the sunrise in the quiet of the morning brings a feeling of new possibilities and hope. Feels good. Ran 3.5 @quilteryoyo live in the Chicagoland area and love the outdoors in the…
  • @quilteryoyo i am 62 and raced in high school and college. Still run but slowly. Walked today and yesterday and will go for my first run of the year tomorrow. It is in the 20’s here which is great running weather for me.
  • Hi, I’m new to this string. I’ve been a runner since high school and have my folder of all my numbers, times and mileage. I love it! I call what I do now a shuffle but I keep going. My goal is to stay injury free and running into my 90’s. My 2024 goal is to do 3 miles every day of running or walking for the entire year. I…

  • I’ve not changed my physical activity. I am wondering if the focus shifts in workouts as I age. I work out 4-5 times per week but do the same exercises and classes each week.
