  • I understand. You are trying to bring it to some people's attention(who may be cutting out food groups or not eating enough) that they don't have to live such a restricted lifestyle. You are not trying to offend any one, you've noticed a trend here and you are trying to help. No one should feel offended by that. We all…
  • I get it, I just think what you are noticing that alot of people that come here do not enjoy exercising heavily, or simply do not have time for it. It may be part of the reason a lot of us got as big as we did. Before MFP I hated being active, now I love it. Not every one will end up enjoying it as much as you do, hence…
  • Edit: No I haven't had this issue. I'll leave it at that. Deleted my last post, more then I wanted to post here :)
  • That's true 1500 does sound like a number she should be able to loose with. Well then the only thing can suggest OP is to try walking during your lunch break, that may help shed some extra calories. Good luck!
  • This is a long thread, and I keep trying to get to the bottom :). If 1500 was the start of your program, and you said you lost lost about 70lbs. Your eating 1500 now then are you sure your calories have been recalculated every 20 or 25 lbs?
  • Yes, for me I prefer eat break-fast after 12pm so I can have those calories later.
  • It is hard to explain. I think I have a hard time understanding why it's ok to eat back exercise calories. But it's not ok to exercise because you've over eaten. To me it's the same thing just in a different order. In my opinion the only difference is the guilt involved and that people should not exercise because they feel…
  • How am I being snarky? I just repeated what you said. I said I got it and I said thanks. I've never had bulimia. Excuse me for not wanting to push my opinion on a subject that I haven't ever delt with.
  • Ok, got it. People should not burn off any extra calories they consume, thanks.
  • This is the first time in my life that I can say that I exercise because I actually enjoy it. You gave some great advice on binges by the way.
  • Guess I should have read this post, my apologies. The point I was trying to make is, your saying that making up for going over even 500 calories is awful advice. A binge that can ruin a week of calorie restriction is probably not (in my opinion) 500 calories. I don't feel that making up for over eating 500 calories is a…
  • Ok, but your suggesting that if one has eaten 500 calories that they didn't plan for they SHOULD NOT make up for it if they want. I don't think 500 calories is an all out binge, to me that's an extra meal or a treat. I just think it's more of a guilt thing, I don't think you should feel guilty about it and let it take you…
  • Wow you look just like Lauren Conrad! Great job!
  • Some people on here swear by "cheat days" they just subtract a little from each day to be able to indulge when they want. Are you saying that if you don't plan for it ahead and take away calories from following days then that makes it a bad thing?
  • As soon as you feel it activate, apply peppermint essential oil on it day and night, with a clean q-tip. Should stop the outbreak, but you have to catch it in the first day or so. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/13678235/
  • This is absolutely fantastic. I am happy you felt comfortable enough to share with us :) I feel truly inspired, and you look amazing!!!
  • You seem upset. Please don't let any advice you've been given discourage you. You asked a question and people are only trying to help you find the solution to your problem. At the end of the day it's your body and you have to do what you feel is best for it, that's the only way this is going to work. I think you should…
  • It's unknown if you aren't eating enough, the most accurate way to find out is by weighing your food. I've consecutively lost 2 lbs a week since I've started a few weeks ago and for me the feeling is just as amazing. The feeling of hunger and deprivation, could lead to "uncontrollable" cravings that will draw you to a…
  • Cups and tablespoons are not as accurate, no. I think the point is you feel very hungry and you've lost a ton of weight in a short period of time. Weight loss is supposed to be slower. Not consuming enough calories is "eating disorderish". Not saying at all that you have an eating disorder.
  • I guess it goes back to make sure you are weighing all of your food to be sure your eating all of the calories you think you are.
  • You've lost 7lbs in 10 days. Looks like somethings off in the calculations.
  • I live in Texas, add me :)
  • Double post
  • I've never made over night oats but I live to eat my oatmeal this way http://ohsheglows.com/2010/12/21/holiday-breakfast-in-a-jiffy-carrot-cake-oatmeal/
  • Pleas feel free to add me :) SW 200 CW 196 GW 130
  • Viewing the pictures in the success stories tab has also been a huge help for me. It reminds me of where I want to be and if I don't go over my calories I can obtain it.
  • My mini goal is to get to 180, I haven't been that weight in over 3 years. My last weigh in was 196, I started 3 weeks ago at I think 202 (I didn't have a scale the first week I started). My ultimate goal is to get to 125-30 hopefully by this time next year :)
  • I seem to have a lot more will power in the mornings. Skipping breakfast has hepled me a lot, I think it's because I know that I have plenty of calories that I get to eat that day. If I use up most of my calories through out the day then after dinner is harder because I know most or all of my calories are gone. So when I…
  • If I eat break-fast between 11a & 1p I tend not to go over my calorie budget. If I start eating at 7am I end up going well over my calories for the day. It's hard for me to stop eating at 2 or 3 hundred calories at a time, I feel satisfied at about 6 or 700. If I don't satisfy my hunger by the end of the night I will…
