Depending on how much you have to lose, set MFP to 2 pounds a week and you'll lose 8 pounds in 30 days eating right and learning how to eat properly without gimmicks. I lost 19 pounds my first 30 days on MFP because i had a lot to lose. But i did it right and safely eating food i liked but controlled my portions..

Hey man, im 30 and started at 360 lbs 154 days ago and i have lost 54 pounds since then. Feel free to add me for help/support, your only 15 pounds from where i am now.

I notice after 150 days of logging that i am fuller way quicker and i put way less on my plate. But if im at 1500, i know the next day i will be sluggish, tired, dizzy sometimes. So ill drink a glass of milk or protein powder so i get to 1700, which i feel normal at.

My wife lost 25 pounds while nursing, then she got stuck. Her body wont let her lose anymore weight without affecting her milk, so shes at maintain right now and waiting until she is done nursing to lose again.

Thats how i work. I lose 3-5 pounds, then i gain back a 1 or 2 in water and sit there for 1-3 weeks, then i slowly get down to my lowest, then shed another 3-5 pounds.

Just get better, its life, if your throwing up your not going to be over in calories. Just do what it takes to get better then move on. I was sick this weekend, only could eat 1400 calories without getting sick, so that's what i ate and tried to keep fluids down. Now i feel better and im back at it.

@MalkinMagic71 Did you ever get "stuck". I started at 360 in May, and ive lost 52 pounds now and feel like ive crushed my goals. But it seems like this month i have been struggling to lose at all, ive been stuck for like 20 or more days now. How did you push though?

Hey bele, we are friends on here an i am in exactly the same boat as you man. 145 days of logging and ive lost 52 pounds. But i have been stuck at 52 lbs lost for the last 20 days now.!! 20 days!!!. Its frustrating. Just hoping it will shed off soon.

a scale can be eye opening. Ever look at a portion size on chips? (about 12 chips) that could be anywhere from a crumble to a 5 inch chip. The only way to really understand the portion of chips is by weight. Also you could be guessing your meat way off. I was underestimating my meat by 1-2 oz.

I lose a few pounds, then i regain it back 1-4 pounds in water. Then in a week or two i shed the water weight and go down below my lowest weight. Thats how i lose at least, down, up, further down, up, further down. Ive gone on 19 days when i have been 3 pounds over my lowest weight. Just give it time.

I haven't exercised much at all, except for walking and being less lazy. As of today ive lost 52 pounds in 4 months. So you can do it man, just log your food accurately and they will start shedding off.

I am stuck in the office all day, im not much of a snacker, but when i do want to snack, i bring a cup of cut up red peppers, or carrots, or pickle slices. A cup of each is less than 40 calories.

Cottage cheese with sunflower seeds is good. English muffin with ham or sausage patty with cheese.

Also, time is going to pass either way. You can spend each day getting to be a healthier better person, or you can ignore it. But in a year, you will be glad you started today.

I put a picture of me 11 years ago, at the weight i want to get back to, on my phone wallpaper, so i see it every time i unlock my phone, it reminds me to keep going and get that goal.

It took mine like 24 hours to sync, I did all the set up correctly too, even did it twice. Just give it a day or so to sync.

I started at 360 pounds, exactly 120 days ago today, im down 49 pounds. Christmas is in 92 days, so you could expect to lose probably 40 pounds by Christmas. I am eating at 1750-2000 calories a day, 1500 calorie deficit.

I worked night shift for 8 years, when i would use MFP, i would log everything from the day i woke up until i went to sleep the next day, as the first day. So if i worked the 10th into the 11th, i would log all my food for the 10th. It is challenging though when some days you stay up late and some days you go to bed on…

I get that an all. But... I'm losing 11 lbs a month. If I ate the extra 1000 cal each day I'd only lose 2 lbs. I'll just wait till I'm at maintain to trust eating those back.
