  • I agree with what everyone is saying here, try to get out if you can, and see a counselor. It sounds like your mother has a lot of personal issues that she's projecting onto you, and now your brother. That's not fair to you, it's a toxic relationship and you really need to consider doing what you can to get out of there.…
  • At times, it's just as intense as running 6.0 on a treadmill, but it's definitely not that intense during the entire class. Only during the latter half of the high impact aerobic exercises do I feel like that. My breath and heart rate bounces around a lot because we switch back and forth between super intense and just, I…
  • Thank you everyone! I've been manually editing it to 300 calories when I log it. I don't know my resting HR and don't have a Fitbit. But I know how to check my pulse so lll try to do that periodically as an experiment. Thanks for your responses! I had no idea that I could burn 600 calories in an hour! Wow!
  • Thank you for your feedback! It is definitely something I want to do because I love it! I will go into it knowing that it has to come to an end at some point through the pregnancy, and I will most definitely be seeking the approval of my OBGYN because I don't want to do anything to harm the baby!
  • And to clarify further, I'll be seeing my OBGYN in May, and can get her medical opinion then. I'm asking the Hivemind now because I want to take advantage of a web special for awesome pricing on the classes...but if it's not safe, it's not worth the investment!
  • Add me! Looking for more friends! I lost 70lbs before my wedding, then I had a baby, then I had a herniated disc. So I'm back at the start, and am currently 1/3rd of the way through my weight loss goal. Looking for friends to motivate and be motivated by!
  • Eat at a calorie deficit, and move more. There is no magic! The other "diet types" always lead to failure for me, because it's not a lifestyle, it's a diet. If you prefer to cut carbs or choose a special plan for eating, be sure you actually want to eat that way when you're at your goal weight. Otherwise you will have a…
  • Add me! Looking for more friends!! I'm 34, lost 70 lbs for my wedding then had a baby, then had a herniated disc, and gained it all back. I'm 1/3rd of the way through losing it again. I'm always looking for more friends!
  • I'm interested! I'm 33, I'm 22 lbs down and need to go about 70 more. I've got a 2 year old so any mom friends are sooooo welcome. It's a whole new challenge!
  • Looking into Keto. Interested to surround myself with friends who do so I can decide if it's right for me. A little bit intimidated by it, but I read all about the benefits. If you're looking for support, and potentially a fellow Keto-person, friend me!
  • We make lots of healthy decisions throughout the day in an effort to get and/or remain healthy. I don't add sugar to my coffee because I prefer it unsweetened, and I truly, truly enjoy everything coffee brings to my morning. I will always keep coffee in my life. I'll pay the calorie cost for the half and half or milk,…
  • I'm very recently in the same boat where I find I've over eaten yet again, and I'm guilty of beating myself up for it. I'm horrible to myself sometimes. But I've been working on letting myself jut start fresh, and skipping the part where i beat myself up. What these folks are saying is so right. Making myself feel bad has…
  • Short term goals! I'm talking about non-scale victories here. Buying a piece of clothing you LOVE but it's a hair too small...3-4 weeks of hard work will make it fit perfectly! Or improving fitness: now I can do X push-ups in a row, now I can run for X minutes or at X speed. I find this keeps me going and takes my mind off…
  • I've been sabotaging my workout efforts for over a month now with binge eating. I'm getting in touch with a nutritionist because I hate myself for it, which causes another episode, which makes me spiral into a hate/binge/hate/binge cycle. If anyone finds any leads on a support group for this, please let me know. I've tried…
  • I need to lose just under 100 lbs! I've lost it before, then gained it back, and I'm here doing it the second, and final time! If you're looking for supportive friends, add me! :-) I know you can do this, and remember, you didn't put it all on in a few months...don't try to lose it all in a few months! Slow and steady, add…
  • I can relate to your post. There's a reason I'm obese. Hell, i could have written this post, and thought about doing so many times before! The feeling of helplessness, eating past the point of full, to the point of sick, and still needing more. The feelings of self hatred. I agree with rainbowbow, I've thought about…
  • It took my husband 3 separate attempts to kick it. If people brush it off like its no big deal, just know that its not in your head. I watched my husband try and fail twice. Its no joke. That stuff is chemically balanced with the caffeine and sugar and who knows what else to make you crave it. BUT I will say, he quit all…
  • @NorthCascades - Thank you! It can be so hard to distinguish which claims are legitimate with so much information out there! I desperately want to have it all, in 45 minutes - but I don't want to be naïve with my expectations!! I guess that fitting it all in will just have to wait until the baby is older. Thank you for…
  • I had hanging skin when I lost my weight the first time. How much it shrinks back up depends on hydration, yes (water mainly) but I think the bigger factor is how long you've been overweight, your age, etc. It doesn't always bounce back. Personally, I waited too long to lose the weight, and I will also have hanging skin…
  • Hey! I was there not too long ago, it does get better!! Pretty soon you'll be wishing you could log all that time you spent chasing the baby around the house. I guess "Preventing a short humans untimely demise" isn't in the exercise database! Anyways, I'm a 33 year old mommy to a 2 year old girl, and I have 100 pounds to…
  • Hey! I'm 33, I'm also 5'7" and I'm currently at 237
