Good morning. I’ve been away for a while and need to reconnect. I had a long struggle with back pain since April this year. I had a slipped disc pinching my right sciatic nerve. I finally opted for surgery about 6 weeks ago after trying other stuff that didn’t work. Thankfully the procedure went very well. Now I need to…

I'm working from home for the most part, but go into the office some days as necessary. The trips into the office helps with the sanity. Also, daily walks and getting some fresh air. On the flip side, with the stay at home order I'm finding that I'm eating healthier than ever. No restaurant outings, not even tempted to do…

Ohhh, that's news to me! Guess they're finally listening to all the grumbling. I've made lifetime on Points and PP. Never liked the later plans.

We normally stay at a resort (with a full kitchen) while vacationing. This allows us to eat most meals at the resort. We chose to have dinner meals out at the restaurants. Vacations don't have to ruin a healthy lifestyle.

How honest are you when it comes to reporting your height and weight on government, medical, or other documents? Same here. I always falsified weight on my driver's license until after reaching goal on WW. I think my license stated 250#, when I was actually north of 300#. I recall going through TSA once with that old…

1. Are there any changes, corrections you'd like to make here at mid year of 2019? Yes. It's summer time and don't ever, ever complain its too hot!! :)

After grabbing a cup of coffee... I usually upload the previous data from my fitness tracker. Then I pre-track my planned meals for the day.

"Do you make a deliberate effort to reward yourself for reaching any of your weight management milestones? If so, what are they? Has your thought process or reward type changed over the time? " I don't reward myself for maintenance, but I did a couple times when I was loosing. I recall buying some tools on one occasion,…

Today's Topic: What is sacred when it comes to your health/eating plan/fitness? One thing I tend to do is stay active if possible, even when my eating habits get a bit sloppy. I generally feel so much better after some exercise, that I don't want to skip. But we all know the almighty fork is more powerful.

1) How long have you been on your WLJ? Since May 2010, so almost 9 years. Lost 140 lbs. 2) How many WLJs have you been on? This is my first one. 3) Do you accept the mantra that there is No Finish Line! Yes, I have to keep my head in the game. If I put on weight, go back to basics.

I was probably more like person #2. I was successful because I didn't have to (or want to) think about the WW plan too much. However, I tracked and attended weekly meetings, rarely missing any during my lose phase. 7 years and counting at goal.

Looking forward to fishing and spending more time outdoors. I'm sick of winter.

@imastar2 I was lost as well. I agree with you, I definitely needed more structure to be successful at loosing weight.

I needed to be more selective with my food choices. I was never a picky eater before. One of the major changes was reducing fast food intake and including more healthy veggies in my diet. My palate began to change in time though.

I indulge a little on vacations (or the holiday season), and no regrets. I still try to keep a exercise routine going. I've always managed to get back on course after its over. You're killing it, @gadgetgirlIL !! Nice pic.

For me, fast food (or take out) was more of a smoking gun prior to WW. I never liked boxed food much.

I weighed less than 180 lbs during my senior year in HS, 1981. I recall a proud moment be able to bench press more than I weighed. I know that's nothing by today's standards. Then in college, I put on 20 lbs or so. After college, I had a couple years of bachelor life. Not sure how much my weight fluctuated, but upwards.…

Completed my annual biometrics health screening, aka finger poke exam. My test results show all numbers are in the normal or healthy range.

I loved to eat and made poor food choices which led to my obesity. We ate a lot fast food in those days, and fewer home cooked meals. I've lived with hurtful comments about my weight from family mostly, pretending it didn't bother me. And I watched the scale go up and up for years before I decided to do something about it.…

I can relate. I crossed over into 300 land, and I started thinking this is where it has to stop.

I had ballooned up to a size 48 waist before the light switch came ON. Fortunately about that time a WW at work meeting was started. I was a little skeptical at first about the program, and being the only man in the group for a while. Anyway, I stuck with it and I've been maintaining fairly well.
