I just found out I have allergies to a bunch of things, including turkey and chicken and freaking wheat...my Meal was mushrooms, asparagus, onion and baked potatoes. I would have loved to mow down some rolls but I’m not too sad about turkey.

If workouts aren’t an option with your crazy busy schedule, focusing on diet alone may make a big difference. I’ve been taking a break from the gym to focus on cooking and eating a lot more veggies. I find it way easier to control my intake when I’m not also trying to refuel after a crazy workout.

Hi! My advice is to start small and add healthy habits to your life, one small step at a time. Sugar is addicting and doesnt nourish your body but it's not something we have to avoid or cut out completely. There are lists out there "if you are craving this, eat some of that" that can be useful. -Jessalyn

Hi Willow, I'm Jessalyn. So I'm someone who has struggled with an eating disorder in the past, which creeps out occasionally. I have seen a dietitian 3 times now who is helping me get back to eating intuitively and healthily, without having food restrictions but focusing on the healthy things and habits in life. I'm not…

Hey there. First of all - you sound down right exhausted and rightfully so. Having a toddler is incredibly hard. My son is now almost 8, but I remember it like yesterday how tired I was all the time and having to work on top of it all. My suggestion right now is to make yourself a priority. Make your own health important,…

I'm working with a dietician who recommends 30 grams of protein and 15 grams of fat PER MEAL. That's not including fats/ proteins in snacks throughout the day. To answer the OP's question, I'd lean more towards full fat with certain things. If you are getting your fats from things like coconut oil, avocado, nuts and what…

I used Hello Fresh for a few weeks and really thought it was too much money and waste (boxes/ cooling packs). The recipes were easy to follow and yummy to eat. They are fresh - so when you get the ingredients, you best be cooking that dish asap.

Haha... well, turning 33 this year. Close enough.

I do this as well and am meeting with a nutritionist to figure out a plan. My thinking is that it is not only an emotional compulsion but a nutrient deficiency as well. I feel good about this lady and look forward to having professional support.

From today at the dentist...blood pressure 120/65.

Hey, I'd recommend getting some vegan cook books. I'm not vegan but have looked through my partners books for general better eating ideas.

I used to run faster than I do now. I did an 11 minute mile the other night on the treadmill and actually felt like I was going to need to walk for a sec. I used to be able to do 4 miles during my lunch break, including shower and dressed. All in about an hour. So...one step at a time. You're fine.

It's funny - I have wondered the same thing about this machine. I just started using one that's similar but a little more difficult. Can't remember what they call it but.. I sweat a lot and the estimated cal burn seems more accurate than the regular elliptical machines. I'm inspired by the fact that you've been able to…

Ha! You sound like me. Feel free to add if you'd like :)

You know I grew up in a generation that was told being able to multi task was the most important skill, that being a jack of all trades was ideal. As I've gotten older it seems that being really good at one thing or a couple things and being able to do them to completion is more important. My focus is family, fitness,…

I'm totally the same way. I'm unstoppable!

You need to tighten up your logging, 100%. You aren't going to pack on muscle unless you are eating in a surplus and lifting lots of heavy weights. Do some cardio, eat in a deficit. If you aren't losing you are just eating more than you need to be.
-
That makes a lot more sense. Gotta do what works for you and your family.
-
I'd suggest seeking a help from your doctor. Make sure you are eating more calories than burning. Track your calories so you actually know what you're consuming.

Please for the love of god and entertainment, watch the first episode of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schidt...the way you repeated "garbage" made me laugh thinking of that episode @killindafat

Queer lady here. ..working out is no problem for me. Food is my main obstacle. I'm working on it. Nice to see family here.

Until recently I had a streak of more than 600 days logged. Something like that. I had lost 17 pounds at one point and am now right back to about my starting point. Life is a journey. It's too short to beat yourself up over not being closer to your ultimate goal. Your 15 pounds lost is awesome!
