I went to Tae Kwondo tonight and managed 25 push-ups. Okay, so they were on my knees but only because I know we were in for a lot of them, next time I'm gonna go for broke and do non-modified ones. When I started 4 months ago I could only do 2 modified ones in a row and we don't do them every week.
Actually, I guess I should start building them into my everyday routine.25 -
This is hubby's NSV (he is a member with a 170 day streak yay) but besides that he has just taken up walking everyday and I think this has led to him not falling asleep early in the evenings as usual, he looked pleased that I had noticed.23

A few weeks ago I didn't have the motivation to do much. Now look at me!! Dates and times worked out are on the image.

Hottopic had an online sale two for $10 so I decided to order to shirts. They were flowy so I ordered a small but assumed that I would need to lose a few more pounds for them to fit good. Tried them on when they arrived and they fit perfectly!!25

I had several this weekend. I was just released to exercise a week ago.
1. I went roller skating and managed to skate 3/4 of the session. It was really slow, but felt great.
2. Made my pre-surgery step goal the last 3 days.
3. A man on Saturday, asked my BF if I was his girlfriend. He proudly responded yes, and the man told him I was beautiful. I have never had a stranger call me beautiful before.25 -
Guys... I can RUN! I'm a RUNNER!
I wasn't really out of breath when I ran today. I'm positive I could have kept up a conversation.
I didn't feel the urge to quit. I wasn't scared I wouldn't make it.
I'm halfway though C25K and I'm just so thankful. I'm so happy my body is responding and improving. I'm enjoying life and enjoying what I can do! And I want more. And I'm thankful for that hunger.43 -
1. Took a Pilates class and then drove to the Y and did 45 minutes on the elliptical! Excited that I could do that much physical activity without then collapsing on the couch.
2. My weight was plateaued for about a week and I didn't get discouraged and pig out like I would have in the past! I kept tracking and working out (and then the scale moved).19 -
I went to the Free People store near me and fit into the size 29 pants again. They were tight, but there was no muffin top and I could easily button them.
My Hudson jeans that I got at Saks Off Fifth in January (that didn't fit me then...I had a huge roll of fat over them) now fit. I knew I'd be able to fit in them again.
My cheekbones are coming back.22 -
When I was 13, my grandmother gave me a red velvet dress that had been hers. She'd received it as an anniversary present from my grandfather in the 1960s, it was a size 10.
I wore it to one concert, but hated it ; it was as hot as Hades, short in the arms, a little tight in the shoulders and bust, had an unflattering neckline and was a bad length for me. However, because it was from my grandmother I held onto it all these years (I'm 38!). If course, it never fit again.
Today I pulled it out of my closet and put it in the Goodwill pile. I decided to try it on. It fit perfectly. Nothing was too tight or too loose. However, it was still ugly. Really unflattering. So into the goodwill pile it went, and straight out to my car.
I can finally let go of my retrained "skinny clothes".28 -

I have a couple from last weekend:
1. Went shopping for a new dress, tried it on and the lady who worked at the store said it looked great because I had amazing curves. I used to take that as an insult, but I realized she meant it as a complement as I now have a defined waist! I'm learning to not be so defensive and to not be suspicious about any positive comment about my body.
2. I met a friend for brunch...after we went on a 6 mile run together! I didn't even need to wear headphones to drown out my huffing and puffing because we were having a nice conversation the whole way. I really never thought I'd see the day that I'd go for a run as a way to catch up with a friend I don't see often enough.30 -
Was planning to get out on Saturday and ride my bike as it was predicted to be nice out but wasn't planning on riding Friday as it was low 40's with a strong wind. Needed to take the bikes in for some minor adjustments and went on up to the High Trestle Trail (Woodward Iowa) ended up going 20 miles. The first 10 was into the wind and so was glad to turn around and head back. Only saw one other biker on this popular trail and 5 walkers. Saturday was nearly 70 degrees so went out on the Great Western Trail and there were lots of bikers out. What a difference 30 degrees will make.

@tomteboda - doesn't it feel good to try something on before giving it away and the garment fits?! I did that recently too, but held on to my shirt for inspiration. It fits but it's a little tight.5

I bought my wedding dress this weekend, and the sample size fit me perfectly. I was advised to order one size smaller since I am continuing to loose weight (and it's a corset back so I could still technically get into it as is, just wouldn't be a perfect fit). The bridal store gave me the measurements of the dress I ordered so I can know what to work towards, and I am already under two of the three measurements! Can't wait to be under all three.
I've also been told by a couple of friends the last two days that I am looking smaller. Those compliments keep me going when I am not seeing results in the mirror myself!28 -
Since I've been walking on my treadmill for the last 7 days I finally don't feel miserable putting my pants on and off. I was literally miserable before. In only 7 days I'm feeling better about bending and moving around more if that makes sense.24
