Pants a little looser and I busted out 40 pull ups today in six sets.19

My roommate keeps talking about how my legs look fitter!
That's when I realized I was wearing a pair of pants yesterday and they had been baggy in my lower thigh area and around the knee. I figured they were just stretched out! Guess not!
Oh! I just remembered... I was feeling my inner thighs this morning and thinking about it felt like the start of loose skin!
I haven't lost much weight on the scale in the last couple weeks, but I think it's still coming off!15 -
I just resisted a snickers bar.
Now that doesn't sound like much, but I swear I am addicted to Snickers bars (I think it's the nougat). But today, I just told myself that I'd have one after class. I pretended like eating one after class made much more sense than eating one before, and by the time class was over, I forgot about it long enough to escape. Now, here I am about to go start track and I am not regretting my decision!22 -
I've known for a while that I'm less self conscious than I was but this morning it REALLY clicked for me.
I'm super clumsy and that used to embarrass me I didn't think it was cute or funny. If I did something silly I'd get really flustered and automatically assume everyone was judging me.
Now when I do really silly things I just laugh. When I trip over nothing I laugh. This morning I dropped a ton of coffee grounds everywhere at work and while I was on the floor trying to clean them up the best I could I was laughing uncontrollably. I also spilled my glass of water all down my pants when I got to work this morning... I just laughed. Yesterday I dropped my entire paczki powder sugar, apple filling and all down the front of myself at work and I just started laughing.
And I've found that when people really like you (like romantically) they kind of think being a little clumsy is endearing and adorable. And my friends laugh with me when I do these things and I NEVER feel like they're laughing at me, they're very clearly laughing with me.
I think it's healthy to laugh at yourself and I never felt comfortable enough to do that before. I really don't take myself seriously at all anymore and it's okay to make mistakes.
Thats joy bubbling up and out now.....or at least thats how I see it.....congrats on your emergence!!!!9 -
Funny NSV! My bike fit has felt weird so I took the bike in to my fitter for some adjustment. After measuring angles and such he discovered my seat height was now all off because I've lost enough of my backside to affect it! WIN!30

Lord! Hahahaha. That censor sometimes makes it worse.
Edit: Oh, slipped in before your edit!5 -
1) The weather calmed down enough for me to get the bike out today (only the second time this week ). I get kitted up, bike out of the garage, checked over, rode off down the road and straight into . . . . another dowsing of rain. Oh, and a very mean wind.
But I did not let it defeat me, I carried on. I got back 85 minutes later, soaked to the skin but exhilarated
It was a difficult ride, purely because I'd not been out since Tuesday (I hate missing a day, it makes it so much harder when you do get out again) but worth it. Planning a longer ride tomorrow as the weather is supposed to be slightly kinder, less so on Sunday.
2) Had a good laugh at myself tonight - I had to take my son to Sea Cadets but my coat was still soaking wet from my bike ride. The only other coat available was one I wore at my highest weight (no idea why I kept it but it came in useful tonight). No other option than to wear it but I could wrap it around myself at least twice. This coat used to be TIGHT on me. I also wore this coat when I was pregnant (and I was HUGE when pregnant). I was laughing my head off at the size of it and how ridiculous it looked on my now-smaller frame. My son (a strapping 13-year old who is now taller than me) asked what I was laughing at so I zipped him into it as well. I think that there was probably room for another one or two people in there, had I the time to mess about. I may try that tomorrow, just for fun20 -

Ran 5 miles today for the first time since......the 1980's. Hoping to do a race in central park next week.24

I turned down pizza! Me, an admitted junk addict. Turned down that chewy crust, that browned cheese, that crispy bacon.... I gotta stop typing before I talk myself into getting a slice.23

During the second rep of a 193# back squat I had to release the bar as I lost focus. The NSV: 193# back squat.10

drank coffee and hot tea at McDonalds and left the fries alone. Hot beverages seem to fill me up, plan on drinking more of these.19

Saw the beer aisle - longed for the beer aisle - walked past the beer aisle - 5 minutes later completely forgot it entirely33

I've been doing C25K around two soccer fields with joint sides.
Today I ran around it in 4 mins. (I did it again with my second 4 min run.)
I calculated up the distance and I determined that it took me 4 minutes to run .31-ish of a mile! That's like... almost a 12 minute mile pace!
I just wanted to share that... I'm NOT the slowest human on earth!
Okay... that looks so trivial! But I'm honestly excited about it.51 -

Despite a crappy day that started with my dog pulling me face first into a sand dune, accidentally pepper spraying myself, and having to cut the last 3 mins off of my run (you know, because I freaking pepper sprayed myself) I managed to not eat the candy bar and got up and went out again this morning. Sans pepper spray.48

Oh my gosh, that has to e the worst outing ever! Where exactly do you live that you need a dog big enough to pull you down AND pepper spray when you go for a run? This sounds like a scary desert where the mob buries people! Lol. I hope your run was much better today.13 -

The dog actually caught me by surprise, she's only about 30 pounds, I carry the pepper spray because we run on the beach before dawn and sometimes there are coyotes in the dunes. I'm not scared of them for me but I'm pretty sure they look at my dog like a snack, but your reply made me literally lol14 -
Yesterday I stayed within calories, hiked a 2 mile trail that is constant up and down hills I didn't eat back exercise calories and gained 1.6 lbs. Normally I would let that discourage me and have a bad day where I binge today repeat cycle and I quit this new lifestyle change. Today it didn't bother me, I know I'm doing everything right and that is not 1.6 lbs of fat. Probably mostly water weight. Keep going strong and the fat will drop.

Noticing that my normal/easy walking pace is faster. Was walking with a friend and she asked if we could slow down...didn't even think I was going fast at all!21

I actually saw my stomach go in when I squeezed it. I tried numerous times before to squeeze in my stomach, but it was too big. Now I can't stop! Awesome !30

Pulled out my workout pants from last summer to go for a bike ride with kids. Jeans just aren't comfy! I painted them on last year, and they left a pretty hefty muffin top from the waistband squeezing. Today, they were baggy in the legs, and I had to pull them up a couple times AND tighten the drawstrings. Never dreamed spandex workout pants would be baggy! So excited to have clothing proof of shrinkage!23

My husband just picked me up and ran up the stairs carrying me. He wouldn't have been able to do that 6 months ago!30
